My little bird eatery

Got this photos a while ago on my backyard. I am always feeding the birds in winter, mostly tits and sparrows - not many other birds are staying around for the cold season, not even the crows. It's always fun to watch this little balls of feathers at a close range, but it requires a bit of luck and patience, because you can startle them so easy. Sometimes even the turn of a head can scare them off for good.

You can tell it's cold outside if you look out of the window and see them ruffled up like this.

Fun fact: tits are the only birds around my hometown that can hang on like this and eat, so if the feed is hanging on a rope and swingin freely, you can be sure no other birds will eat it. Even sparrows are looking with envy while tits can eat calmly. Which i find only fair because those little rascals are always scaring tits off the usual birds feed i leave for them - sunflower seeds, wheat and other grain.

Sometimes, if lucky enough, one can see a magpie. But they are much more careful and keen than the smaller birds and don't tolerate a man's presence at all.

A turtledove is also not so common - i saw them on my backyard only a handful of times, unlike ordinary pigeons.
