The Doors - Light My Fire ( For the dance and music community )

One such band that many of us became familiar with was The Doors, thanks to our grandparents, parents, or uncles. However, this group had a lot of mystique beyond being a matter of inherited taste in their music and personality. Also, he must be credited for his band's lead singer, Jim Morrison, as well as the fantastic songs they created while forming a unit for almost eight years.

And without a doubt, "Light My Fire" is one of their best compositions, a priceless gem that perfectly captures the spirit and sound of the band's formative years. This song is incredibly fascinating, but at the time it was not exempt from controversy and censorship by that conservative sector in the United States of the 60s, which even made the "lizard king" the protagonist of an epic moment.

The Doors were a well-known underground band from Los Angeles before this song, "Light My Fire," became their first hit and propelled them to fame. The band's record company, Elektra Records, requested a shorter version of the song without the solos because the original version of the song, which is 6:50 in length, was too long for radio play. It was one of the first singles from this era to receive widespread airplay, but fans objected, requesting that DJs play it in full.

Jim Morrison was not a fan of the song, even though he introduced the world to Robbie Krieger, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore, and others. The 'lizard king' wrote in his journals that he did not like him and that he was loathe to interpret her as the reason. As well as criticizing some of the rather simple but effective rhymes in the lyrics, such as "fire", "liar", "superior", "look", and "pyre", it seems that he was also upset that the popularity of the group was the result of this single However, he only contributed to a small part of the composition.
