eurythmics - sweet dreams (x-men apocalypse)

Here you have a jewel of music that, as you can see, belongs to a scene from the Marvel movie XMEN. But there are some songs that, for the performers or groups that sing them, really save lives. This is what happened with the pop classic Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). Before releasing the song in the early 1980s, the British duo behind it thought their career was over.

But suddenly, Lennox came up with a keyboard tune that seemed simple. At the time, Stewart, a former guitarist, improvised at a fast pace with some percussion. Although it was incredibly infectious and powerful, neither they nor our record company picked it up as a single from the album until the third or fourth pick.

In early 1983, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These) and its self-titled album topped the charts in Europe and North America, with other albums such as Be Yourself Tonight in second place. It quickly became an electronic music staple thanks to its instantly recognizable synth intro, and has been reinterpreted by many artists, including Marilyn Manson.
