My favourite Indian TV Show - Contest 2 | 1992 The Harshad Mehta Story
This year was flooded with web series on all the platforms. But only a few of them got a success.
In this post, I will provide you detail on one of the best web series that I watched and it is just recently released on Sony Liv on October 9, 2020.
I first come to know about this web series, when I was going somewhere by bike, I see the big banner for this Web series. Looking at the poster I got that this web series is on the stock market and I just decided to watch.
The main reason that I watched this web series, I am one of a small trader in the stock market and trading for the last 2 years. I just don't look at the market by gambling, I do my study, research, check chart history, read technical and this web series is based on Stock Market.
This web series is based on one of the biggest financial frauds in the Indian Stock Market.

This web series is based on the biggest financial market frauds executed by stockbroker Harshad Mehta in 1992. This web series is the true story of Harshad Mehta.
I have read and watched many videos on Harshad Mehta and this web series is All-in-one.
Harshad Shantilal Mehta was an Indian stockbroker, at the height of Harshad Mehta’s run as the king of the Bombay Stock Exchange, a magazine had featured him on its cover with ‘The Raging Bull’ as its headline. That was not the only title a fawning media and obsequious market gave to him though – he was also called ‘Big Bull’ and ‘Einstein’, ‘cobra killer’ and ‘cheetah’.
People make him God. He is the only man who always took the Bombay Stock Exchange at the highest, all bearish investors were scaring of him because he was the only run market as BULL.
The stocks which he chooses later they start flying in the sky.
His intention was very good but he took it the wrong way.
He was well known for his wealth and was charged with numerous financial crimes that took place during the prime ministership of P.V. Narsimha Rao - 1992 securities scam.
Of the 27 criminal charges brought against him, he was convicted of four, before his death at age 47 in 2001. It was alleged that Mehta engaged in a massive stock manipulation scheme financed by worthless bank receipts, which his firm brokered for "ready forward" transactions between banks.
No doubts in the story did not stretch unnecessary and displayed the story as it is.
The peoples, politicians, Banks, Media who were actually involved in this scam are taken and pronounce as it is, not a single word change in this.
It is clearly shown how the system turns you down within one day.
In this web series, there is no nonsense, no strong language without any use, no vulgarity, and just a focus on the story-line.
Strong screenplay and good direction.
No many seasons, watch this web series in just one go.
In this web series, it is also shown that how a person who takes something seriously and work on it till achieving success, never quite.
The sad song at the end is good, music lyrics.

Yes, my too. I read the actual story of Harshad Mehta many times, this series is really made as it is.
Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta. Shreya Dhanwanthary as Sucheta Dalal. Vishesh Bansal as Young Harshad Mehta. Anjali Barot as Jyoti Mehta (Harshad's wife) Hemant Kher as Ashwin Mehta (Harshad's Brother) Ramakant Dayma as Shantilal Mehta (Harshad's Father) Kumkum Das as Rasilaben Mehta (Harshad's Mother).
These all cast did tremendous work and made a good series.
