Of the many crimes imposed by state legislation, the death penalty is the most serious crime and has become the subject of debate to date.
There are many pros and cons regarding the death penalty that is enforced, so that most countries no longer enforce punishment and are currently only cultural-historical.
However, in Indonesia, the country where I was born, the death penalty is still being applied. Recently, a premeditated murder case carried out by a senior police officer was sentenced to death by the Panel of Judges at the Jakarta High Court on Monday 13 February 2023.

The death penalty is a punishment given to perpetrators for crimes committed that result in large losses, while the practices carried out are such as being shot, hanged or lethal injection.
In Indonesia itself, the death penalty has been in effect since the first declaration of independence and until now the death penalty is still being used for the purpose of eliminating the high crime rate.
I personally agree with the death penalty, because with the death penalty criminals will think twice about taking actions that risk their own lives, but even so not all crimes will receive the death penalty, I agree that the death penalty is applied as in murder cases planning that I have mentioned above, narcotics dealers whose actions can damage the morale of the nation's generation as a result of consuming these goods, terrorism that attacks the integrity of the state and heinous acts such as rape of minors.

In my country the death penalty is the only punishment that is the most severe and feared, because it has been practiced several times against certain perpetrators of crimes, and has become a clear example of legal action that will be given to perpetrators of crimes.
As far as I have observed, the imposition of the death penalty can have a deterrent effect on people who have the intention to commit a crime, this can be proven by the reduction in major crime cases after a few years ago one of the drug dealers and terrorists was executed on death row.
We also hope that the enforcement of the death penalty can be carried out as fairly as possible so that no decision is handed down to the wrong person, so that security and peace in a country can be built properly.

Regardless of the pros and cons regarding the application of the death penalty in a country, we must admit that the death penalty is an appropriate punishment for the perpetrators of crimes that have harmed many people, such as terrorist bombings, plane hijackings and mass killings that occurred in Aceh in during the conflict several years ago.
These incidents have become a big wound for the community and the families left behind, so that the death penalty for the perpetrators of these crimes is the punishment they deserve.

We support good comments anywhere..Algunos criminales saben que durante el acto criminal su propia vida está en riesgo y eso no les detiene, muchos terroristas incluso aplican de kamikazes así que si en sus países se aplicase esta pena no creo que les disuada mucho.
Sin embargo en su país parece que ha dado buenos resultados lo cual me hace comprender que este de acuerdo con ello.
Creo que una de las partes más fundamentales sería evitar la ejecución de inocentes lo cual es una posibilidad real.
Aunque supongo que se hacen muchas investigaciones rigurosas antes de dictar sentencia.!
