Steemit Engagement Challenge Season5 Week3: My star Ingredient is: "Beans"

Hello, handsome men and beautiful women of the Columbia-Original community. I am sure you are doing well. Today starts a new week and also a new series of challenges organised by the Steemit team and other communities. Today’s theme in this community is our star ingredient, which I would like to invite @graciella, @rafk, @tangwe-rene, @breez.com to also share their star ingredient with us and what we can do with it.

My star ingredient is Beans.
Beans are seedlings that are dicotyledons and one of the several genera belonging to the plant kingdom, particularly the flowering plants. They are used as food all over the world and can be cooked in many different ways, like frying, boiling, and sometimes as a baking agent.
Beans are a crop that particularly needs warm temperatures in order to develop and grow to maturity, usually 70 to 80 days when they are dry. As the pods mature, they dry up and can be collected by beating the pods for the seedlings' extraction.
After the extraction, it can be boiled and fried and accompanied with plantain, spaghetti or rice.
Steps Involved in Preparing Beans
I’m going to list the process of bean cooking.
- Rinse the bean seedlings to remove dirt and bad seeds;
- It can be boiled in a huge amount of water for it to be soft and can easily be digested;
- Prepare the various spices that are ground or cut into the tomatoes, onion, pepper, garlic, ginger, and green seasonings in the appropriate quantity (depending on the quantity of your beans);
- Fry all the spices and seasoning in groundnut oil with a small quantity of salt;
- Mix the boiled seeds with the fried spices and cook it for about 30 minutes;
-Your fried bean is ready for consumption.

It can be consumed with plantain, yam, cocoyam, cassava, potatoe, rice, Boboloh.
Another form of cooking is that it can be pounded with Arish potatoes and mixed with palm oil to prepare a local meal in Cameroon commonly called "Pilé Pomme". This meal is so appetising. All the Cameroonians will know what I am talking about.
In all in my Country there are many dishes we can do with beans including the famous Pile Pomme, Koki, rice and beans, beans and Cassava which gives Cameroon it cultural diversity in meals.
Boboloh is a local transformation of cassava tuber.
I hope my post made you want to discover more of the local dishes prepared in Cameroon with beans.

In my country peanuts are processed into tempeh, tofu and soy milk. Peanuts are really delicious. It can be enjoyed with various recipes. Good luck for the contest.

I am one of those who really love the idea of a beans meal as I always said, beans goes with every carbohydrates you can think of thus it is a variety food, and you know, Variety is the spice of life.

Hola @fonjougiresse, muy buena explicación del procedimientos de tiene que durar entr 70 a 80 días para que madure para luego golpearla para extraer la semilla de la vaina, pues no sabía eso . Muy bien explicado como se cocina después. Interesante la comida con papa.
