Introduction

Hello world, I am happy to show my participation in the above topic, thanks to the steemit team for the innitative of the engagement challenge contests, and congratulations to this amazing community for being among the selected communities. The above topic is lively and educativ and below are my ideas on the topic.

What do you think about the death penalty, do you agree or disagree? Explain why?

Sincerely, I agree with the death penalty approval, now, let's look at this scenario, every body's life is very precious, and no one would wish to die for another because we always feel and know that there are a lot of funn and enjoyment in life to come and that is why we place value in our lives.

I agree that the death penalty should be duely placed on whosoever tempers with the precious life of another person so that he or she will also feel how death feels like and death penalty could also scare away people with such heart and by so doing, crime will be reduced and lives will be valued.

Is this type of penalty part of the law in your country? Do you think it should be implemented?

Yes, the death penalty is part of the law in my dear country Nigeria and with that, I have seen criminals reduced and the act of killings also reduced, and for the remaining hidden criminals, they kill silently and run away and if they are been caught, its life in prison and from there, they will be pronounced to death.

The implementation of the death penalty has already been done by the executive and the punishment is been put into action by the judiciary. Our securities handle such offenders and take them to jail to suffer for their lifetime. I have complete joy that Nigeria has already implemented that law of the death penalty and if Nigeria hadn't implemented it, I would agree and propose the implementation.

Do you know of any particular case of the death penalty in your country or any other country? Can you share it?

Yes! My cousin brother has been a thief since his childhood, he started by stealing things in the house, it has been a burden for everyone and with time the whole family got so disturbed that at some point, we all became tired, and almost everyone gave up in his case.

In his secondary school, he became worse, the school got tired of his stealing attitude, at his tertiary institution, he joined arm robbery, stopping students who go to read at night to collect their phones, and he was also a rapiest.

On a faithful night, the school securities hide and waited until the usual time he comes out for such patrol, he was caught rapping a lady in the bush and before they ran to her help, she was breathing hard, the securities got him jailed until the victim recovers, on the second day, the lady died and that was how he was also pronounced death and he was killed.

In conclusion, friends, we must place value in our lives, by being careful with our steps in life. The story I just shared was the story of my cousin's brother, and immediately after he was killed everyone was happy instead of being sad, he brought shame to the family and happiness came immediately after he left. Let's be people with great virtue and also great value in our lives.

Thank you very much for reading through my post, I invite @goodybest, @ishayachris, @msharif @yakspeace, @suleha, and @josepha to show their participation.

I understand what you say about family shame, years ago I had an alcoholic uncle who bothered the days of all his brothers, asked for money, spent it on alcohol, exposed himself to walking drunken streets and the relatives feared that a vehicle would run over him. Additionally, his brothers watched with pain as he wasted his days, years passed and they could be calm when my uncle died (of natural causes). So I can understand what you are exposing about your relative, thank you for participating in our dynamic and telling your family history.

Hola @dave-hanny, muy triste lo de tu familiar, por eso desde pequeños debemos enseñar a nuestros hijos los valores, de esta forma no habría tanto criminal en nuestra sociedad.

Saludos y bendiciones!!
