The biggest attraction of Canada

in Steem-Travelers3 years ago

As I start writing this article, I think about the story of the old man sitting outside of a city. One man came up to him and asked what the people were like who lived there. The old man asked, "What are the people like from where you came from?"

The man described how terrible the people were in the previous city. They argued and were profane. They were very disagreeable to be around.

The old man noted, "You better keep going. The people are the same here!"

A short while later, another man came along with the same query. As before, the old man asked, "What are the people like from where you came from?"

This man described how friendly the people were in the previous city. They were kind and generous. He said that he wanted to stay but reluctantly had to move on.

The old man welcomed, "You better stay. The people are the same here!"

If you choose to travel to Canada, the people are the same here!

Many people will point out the buildings or natural beauty of Canada. In my opinion, the biggest attraction of Canada is its people. In 1967, it was Canada's Centennial. The top video, Canada (Centennial Song), was all around us when I was a boy. In it, you can see the variation in the landscapes. Canada ranges from oceansides to mountains. It is divided into provinces. Some provinces are larger than many countries. The province I live in is 1,076,395 sq. km, while the country @enveng lives in is 783,356 sq. km. Ontario's population is 14,733,119 and Turkey's population is 83,614,362. Ontario's population is concentrated close to the US border, with 85.9% living in urban areas. Turkey's ethnicities include 70–75% Turks, 19% Kurds, 7–12% Others.

Ontario has a percentage of foreign-born people that is much higher than the national average: in 2006, 28.3% of the population was foreign-born, compared to the Canadian average of 19.8%.
At the 2011 census, Ontario's racial and ethnic composition was 71.7% white, 25.9% visible minority groups, and 2.4% Aboriginal groups (1.6% First Nations, 0.7% Metis, 0.1% other Aboriginal). The visible minority groups include: South Asian: 7.6%, Chinese: 5%, Black: 4.3%, Filipino: 2.2%, Latin American: 1.4%, Arab: 1.1%, Southeast Asian: 1.1%, West Asian: 1%, Korean: 0.6%, Japanese: 0.2%, Other: 0.6%, Multiple visible minorities: 0.8%

This breakdown fails to describe the diversity of cultures found woven into the fabric of Canada.

Also, in 1967, each of the provinces celebrated in its way. The theme song in Ontario was "Give Us A Place to Stand."

Having watched this, remember that over 50 years and two generations have elapsed. Kids still play hockey, and people still go camping. Due to the recent ... cough, cough ... people have had to plan their entertainment a little more carefully.

Canadians don't only go camping. Every area has its combination of wineries/breweries, cafes/restaurants and entertainment. I assume most people have heard of Niagara Falls. While awe-inspiring in its own right, that is the least of that area. I used to stay in the region and visit the Shaw Festival. The works of George Bernard Shaw inspired the festival, but the entire town is devoted to producing plays at different venues. It was on one of these visits that I assisted a past Prime Minister of Canada.

There is even more in this area to enjoy. While one is booked into a local hotel for a weekend, it is a good excuse to visit a few wineries on a tour.

We have many societies that meet in Ontario. My parents used to attend the monthly Historical Society meetings. I had to substitute for one of them at one meeting. The topic of the meeting was the historical production of alcohol in the region from over 100 years ago. Apparently, farmers would pay mills for grinding their grain into flour with bags of grain. The millers in turn would take this grain and make alcohol with it. To celebrate this meeting, we met at a winery just fifteen minutes from where I live and they gave free wine samples (bottles) at the meal. I was too frightened to attend the next meeting. The subject of that night was the historical occurrences of prostitution and brothels in the area. I was afraid of the samples they might give.

Canada is not known for its unique cuisine. We invented Pineapple Pizza (handpicked locally grown pineapples 😉), Nanaimo Bars (handpicked locally grown coconut crumble 😉), and Poutine (a combination of potatoes, cheese curds and gravy 🤮). The best treat made in Canada is the Butter Tart. Butter Tarts are so popular that there are Butter Tart tasting tours similar to Wine Tasting Tours.

I have included this final video on how to make Butter Tarts so you too can have a taste of Canada. In this video, she used Maple Syrup and Blueberries. The following video is based on the originally published tart recipe. Notice how Canadians become animated over the truly important things in life (nuts or no nuts).

I invite @metugejacy20 and @ichwan.syahputra to tell about the biggest attraction of your country

Unfortunately, even though you power-up more than withdraw, you still use the bid-bots (xiguang, digital.mine, sd974201) and it excludes from club5050. We can't give you the booming support (it would be declined), even though you deserve it.

You still have a chance to win the contest though. Good luck!

The food looks like it will be a lot tastier to eat

I guess I'm a little late for the contest but it was great to read your post. Butter tart intrigued me, I hope one day I have a chance to visit Canada, I would like to try it.

I really enjoyed the story at the start up it captivated me,
But I don't why he had to send the first man back
Also the food ohhhh My worldddd 😍😍 the pine apple pizza for some weird reason calls to me

#travelers-say

I am currently in conversations with a person who finds another person toxic and evil. I know this third person and have always found her gracious and kind. The reality is probably someplace in the middle.

Would you want to associate with someone critical and negative? That is why the old man told the traveller to keep going.

This makes sense
Canada welcomes open and friendly people and turns down the rest..

Canada welcomes all people. If a person brings emotional baggage (anger, fear, prejudice) with them, that person will find the same here.
