The ambulant fruit vendor happened to come-by passing the road and hawking what fruits it is selling and my mother hailed it to buy a few bunch of these Lanzones fruit which are nice to eat because of their sweet taste and different flavor. The etymology of its name supposedly came from the Spaniards not because of the fruit but because of the leaves leaves of this fruit's tree which resembles a tip of a spear and they call it "Lance" which later was called "Lanzones". My childhood friend told me that it was called Lanzones because it is poisonous when the smoke from the lanzones's rind is made to be burned near a chicken or a cage fighting cock, the cock will surely die and the fact that the smoke from a semi-burning rind of this fruit is a mosquito repellant too. Also, the word Lanzones sounds like "Lason" in our local language which means poison, so in a sense my childhood friend is still correct but now if research a little, its name has a definite source on why the fruits is called Lanzones.

I like this fruit when its rind gets almost black and dry because it would taste sweeter that way unlike when you peel-off the rind when it is fresh because latex would ooze out and would make your fingers sticky although it doesn't matter but I like this fruit to be older before I eat it. I also prefer the little ones because they do not have seeds but I have to take care not to bite one whole fruit because its seed is really so bitter. Anyway, it is one of the fruits which is in season now so now we are seeing it here being sold by vendors left and right, but because of the worsening inflation, it still costs an arm and leg to purchase any fruits these days where even fresh coconuts is coming at small sizes and it makes me feel both sad and frustrated about it all that the fact that our fiat currencies are losing its purchasing power so fast.

That is why we must try to really earn more money to compensate our losses because of inflation and it is crazy to think that accumulating fiat money will not give us an assurance that it will hold its value when we retire in the future if we happen to reach the retirement age. Also there seems to be a pressure about using our money to buy stuff before stuffs would get pricier in the future because again, our fiat currency is losing its purchasing power big time because of the ponzified financial system of the federal reserve bank and the treasury department of the USA government together with its politicians in high places and banks. So this inflation situation will get worse for all of the rest of humanity which is why our society will turn to a thing that we will not like in the future because hardships will continue because the problem is so big that it is now more uncontrollable than ever before.

Anyway, what we all can just do is to try to cope and enjoy what little good things that we can enjoy in this world, to stay healthy and strong by eating the right foods like lanzones and fruits that pesticides are not used to avoid the cumulative effects of pesticides in our bodies which in long-term will just cause us illnesses like cancer and such imbalances in our overall health. So yes, even what we generally know as healthy is not what it seems to be, that is why there is a danger even from the foods that we eat either "natural" or processed, let us all be vigilant to everything because danger is in everything around us more than ever before and we can already see it happening to many people already.
