Street Photography Challenge Week - 43 |It Should Be A Sidewalk

Hello Everyone

We meet again here on my Steemit Street Photography Challenge. This challenge is a regular weekly challenge held by Camping Club Steemit (CCS), where we share our shots about anything interesting on the street. For Today theme, I will pick "It should be a sidewalk"

On the side of any road, or Road Bank, we usually see or find a sidewalk. It's a pavement for pedestrian to walk on the side of the road. Whether what they are made of, either it is a curb pavement, precast concrete, a rough concrete, or plainly dirt and soil, their main function is as a sidewalk or footpath.

However on some place, their use has changed, or maybe not changed but added with other function. Take a look at my shot above, people put chairs there to enjoy live music from some Cafe accross the street. That Cafe has some live music on certain night, and during those night we will see many people bringing their own chair and sit on the sidewalk, enjoying free music.

There is another popular usecase or function for this sidewalk, it is for selling street food. People love to set some tent then have their temporary outlet established there. It's the cheapest way they can get to have a solid flooring without a dirty wet soil below which can make people unease to have some dinner there.

This one is a bit worse because literally pedestrian can not even use the sidewalk anymore. There are some people who use sidewalk as "public" motorcycle park area, however I can not get any shots on this because they are sensitive and could aggressively come to me with some hostility.

Whatever the reasons they have, I hope they do not forget that sidewalk is for pedestrian.
