Food Photography Challenge - Week 36 | Bakmi Bangka
Hi Guys,
Here is my new entry for the Camping Club Steemit Foot Photgraphy Challenge week #36. The subject is Bakmi Bangka
Bakmi Bangka is one of traditional food from Bangka Island, Indonesia. Bangka is the name of the island and Bakmi stands for Bak (Bak or pork) and Mi (Mian or noodle). Originally it's a chinese dish from HAKKA tribe, a minced pork noodle. They came as immigrant hundreds years ago, blended with the local and now became part of the natives.
Due to majority of Indonesian are Muslim and they do not eat pork, so local people has made many adaptation on this Chinese Pork Noodle, into what we know today as Bakmi Bangka. The pork is no longer used, but they use minced chicken. They have meatball (cow meat) and dumpling as the side dish.
Ok that's all for my bakmi bangka post today. I hope you like it and please feel free to leave any comments below.. Thank you for visiting my post and special thanks to @theentertainer and @visionaer3003 who have held and support this contest.
