Food Diary #007 | Sate Padang
Hey all
For today food diary, I am sharing this Sate Padang which is my lunch today. Sate Padang is a Padangese style of Satay, or some people prefer to call this skewers. Basically the meat is not a cow meat, but mostly people use beef tongues so it will give a distinct flavor from any regular satay.
Similar to other dish from Padang Cuisine, their taste are spicy and of course spicy sauce becomes their signature appearance. The sauce is a vey thick broth mixed with tumeric, ginger, garlic, curry powder and many more. People who eat Sate Padang do not eat rice with them, but they use some rice cake.
Nowadays people have already modified this dish into several others. Most of them are the same sate padang, but they use chicken, lamb, and others meat instead of beef tongue. So how do you think about this dish?
