Food Diary #005 | Nasi Uduk
Good Evening everyone
It's already a night time here, not as usual, I am making this post on night before bed time.. What I am sharing you right now was the dinner I just had a couple hours ago. We call this one Nasi uduk, however our neighbor, Malaysian, call this rice as Nasi Lemak. Although the fact is that nasi uduk and nasi lemak are using several different spices, but both have the same concep.t
This is nasi uduk. It is a rice cooked in coconut milk, one of the traditional Indonesian style dish.
Of course I did not eat rice only with some fried shallot dressing on top. I bought fried chicken as my main dish with a pair of tofu and tempeh. Tempeh is a soy cake, traditional food from Indonesia too. So my dish tonight was full of protein, from chicken, tempeh and tofu.
