Happy Monday CCS community i hope you had an amazing and productive start of the week!
Today’s photo may look kinda strange, but in the good sense, because it’s a diabetes on a table. Yeah you heard me right. You know there are times when you just eat so many sweet stuff and you know it’s bad for you, but it’s just that everything is so good. Well this is what happens when you let your friends pick the deserts.
You know it’s kinda funny now remembering the story behind this picture. I remember i took this photo in one of the restaurants during my visit in Monaco and trust me this is what one of the female friends of my girlfriend ordered, well honestly we the men ate most of it, because they ordered it for the introduction part with all the smoke and the fire candles and all that stuff.
Anyway the sweets on the right corner above the ice creams are something called Tulumba, which I’m sure it has a different name, but this is basically a syrup Pastry that’s typical for the Turkish cuisine or the Balkan cuisine overall. The dish in the middle was some sort of creamy sham cake with fig extract or some sort, i’m not certain, and the dish on the left is also another typical Turkish dessert called Cuneiform (Kunefe) which is basically a sweet melted yellow cheese with a ball of vanilla ice cream.
