Every countries in the world have their own tourist attraction center where foreigners visited the place to appreciate the blessing of God.

This tourist attraction center improve the economic development of the countries as well as contribute to the growth of the countries. For instance, Dubai generated must of their income from tourism because they have proper plan they were put in place.

Which is the most famous tourist destination in your country, and why?

Nigeria consist of 36 state including federal capital territory Abuja, the most famous tourist destination in Nigeria is Argungu fishing festival in northern western part of Nigeria, kebbi state. This festival period held annually between February and March, it also usually take four day for celebration, people from all over the world travel down to Nigeria to witness this event.

Majority of the people were Muslim and the area is full of river, fishermen are not allow to catch fish until the festival period is commence. Argungun fishing festival is very common in Nigeria especially in the northern part of the country because it improve the economic of the state and the country at large.

Why do you like it?

Argungun fishing festival is the kind of cultural event that promote unity and harmony among the people in the state, visitors from all over the world visit this place to catch fun and enjoy themself to the fullest.

I like this kind of tourist attraction because on the final day competition is organised in which many fishermen will line up in front of the river, when they blow the whistle all of them will jump to the river. The fishermen who catch big fish will collect special gift from state government which is normally in form of monetary form.

The most interesting part is fishermen are allow to use traditional equipment to catch fish because is a kind of cultural activities where Emirs' (kings') from different part of the state will attend.

I have not visit this beautiful place before but next year I plan to visit this historical place, I want to see with my own naked eyes how fishermen catch big fish with traditional fishing net. Nigeria television authority (NTA) broadcast this event live on the screen in which viewers can see how cultural activities can take place.

Visiting this place is an experience for me, in fact I will also have the opportunity to learn more about their culture and other important thing including their food and mode of dressing.
