The papaya or pawpaw is the plant species Carica papaya, one of the 21 accepted species in the genus Carica belonging to the family of Caricaceae, and also the name of its fruit that was first domesticated in Mesoamerica, within modern-day southern Mexico and Central America. It’s native to Central America and is grown in tropical and warmer subtropical areas worldwide. It is grown in several countries in regions with a tropical climate.
It contain high levels of antioxidants such as vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Diets high in antioxidants may reduce the risk of heart disease. Papaya contain certain compounds that may be able to assist in reducing inflammation, improving, digestion & reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease progression.
