Greetings Everyone. I am Asad Fazal from Pakistan. I hope everyone here in Venezolanos Steem community are healthy and happy by the grace of Allah Almighty. Today I'm here to participate in Season16 Week1 challenge. The topic of the contest is "Cultural Traditions". So let's start the topic!
Urs of Shah Rukn-e-Alam |

In Multan, there are many cultural traditions that hold significant importance. Among them one most important tradition is the annual Urs of Shah Rukn-e-Alam who was a Sufi Saint. This Urs is celebrated to honor the death anniversary of the Saint. It take place over couple of days typically in a month of Safar(month in Islamic Calendar).
On this Urs day, people from around the world gather at the shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam to pay their respect, love and seek blessings. The shrine is the focal point of this celebration for several days. People there do poetry, distribute food among the people who came there and offer prayers.
During this Urs, multan become so crowded near this place because people from all over the country visit Shrine. The Shrine is decorated with colorful banners, lights, and floral decorations. After prayer, reciting Quran, and Dhikr of Allah Almighty there, distribution of langar(food) to the attendees happen. It takes a lot of team work because thousands of people go there. The traditional dishes that are served there include biryani, naan with halwa, and sweets.
Mango Festival |

Another notable tradition of my city Multan is the Mango Festival. It is celebrated from 7th July to 9th July every year. In some places of Multan, people celebrate it on different date but it is in July month. This festival usually takes place during the mango season which is between June and August. Various activities are organized during this festival including mango exhibition, competitions and cultural performance.
Moreover, in all over the city, people eat a lot of mangoes in these days and make dishes of it specially the ice cream and milkshake that tastes so good. I personally eat a lot of mangoes during the season and make milkshake. This festival attracts both local and tourists because it showcase the agricultural heritage of Multan and promotes tourism in our region.
Although I have not yet participated in any of the festival or Urs before but this year I have decided to go to mango festival that will be held in DHA. There they showcase more than 50 types of mangoes and we can taste them and buy them that are freshly picked from the trees. In my view, these traditions are very important for every city because they represents our place and how people are celebrating it from start.

Thank you brother for your valuable comment. Yes these cultural traditions are part of our city Multan. Mangoes of Multan are most popular in the country and also in other countries. Because it has rich flavor and sweet taste that makes a person to eat more and more mangoes. However, thank you again for reading my publication :)

Gracias por compartir todas las tradiciones culturales de tu país, me idintifique con la del mango qué manifiestas qué se da en tu ciudad del 7 al 9 de julio de cada año, también nos cuentas que durante esta temporada se organizan diversas actividades que incluyen exhibición de mango, concursos y espectáculos culturales, que bueno que disfruten de ese hermoso festival.
En mi país Venezuela el mango es una deliciosa fruta que prácticamente se da todo el año desde febrero a junio, y desde junio hasta agosto, tenemos una gran variedad y en cada cosecha los venezolanos la disfrutamos muchísimo.

Gracias por tu valioso comentario. Sí, los mangos son deliciosos y por mucho que los comas, siempre querrás comer uno más. Hago batidos de mango y como helado de mango. Es una fruta perfecta con jugo y delicioso sabor y dulzor. :)
My friend, I tell you something that mango festival must be great, so rich they are, I can imagine the sales of this natural and in food, desserts, drinks.
The religious event as you narrate it congregates a lot of people, there is a lot of support, it must be very emotional and the architecture of the temples there that are so beautiful, I imagine it attracts tourism.
