What is the level of crypto adoption in your country?
Crypto currency adoption in my country Nigeria is fastly approaching and spreading to major part of the country , although I could agree that it's somehow scanty in some places especially in the less population area of the country , but in the urban city like Lagos, cryptocurrency is everywhere and it's adoption is fast approaching.
I have been noticing some consumers in some major shops agreeing for payment in USDT, they could just do the major conversion and then ask you do to the payment in USDT , this is a good approach as well, and it's an interesting one also.
The adoption has done a lot of good things like making transaction of payment to be easier and also to be faster, so in this case, many love it and they prefer to use cryptocurrency payment instead of the other way round.
There has been some major introduction of cryptocurrency and as such a case when Binance introduced a meet ups in Lagos, and things like this brings more popularity of crypto to people around the city and over the places as well, so in this case, I will prefer to say cryptocurrency is fast adopting to major part of Nigeria, and most especially in the Urban city like Lagos, port Harcourt, and etc.
How popular is the Steem token?
The Steem token is not majorly popular in this part of the country, the token they are familiar with are USDT, and BTC , except for those ones, majority of the people in my country are not familiar with the Steem token.
The reason for this might be because the price of this coins are not stable, and even the BTC is hard to convince people to invest as many likes the idea of making money and not loosing it instead, cryptocurrency has done a lot of good and also done alot of harm to some of this people , so sometimes it's hard to convince them to be making use of the token.
The Steem token is common between the Steemit users in Nigeria mostly as you can hear them mentioning the platform and as well it's obvious that it uses the Steem token , but i believe in a sense that Steemit is popular around the country, then the Steem token will definitely have the popularity also.
Highlight various ways users in your country utilize to buy crypto assets?
There are lot of ways users use to buy crypto in my country , but the most common are through the Crypto exchange or through the Telegram Platform.
Crypto Exchange - With the crypto exchange, the user can register there debit card with the exchange and purchase USDT with it, because so far you have the USDT, you can make any exchange of coin of your choice , but the common one is to use the Crypto exchange like KuCoin, Binance and Roqqu and this are the most common crypto exchange in my country.
This method is also easy, in this case, you will deposit the Nigeria currency NGN, then you can then convert it into USDT and continue to convert to the coin of your choice.
Telegram Channel - This is also another common one, but it's also more of P2P method but it is done on telegram instead, this is dangerous and I don't advise it, it's only better when you know the user you are dealing with.
In the case of this, the Crypto vendor will provide you with their account details and when they received the money, they will forward the coin to your address , but this should only be done with people you are familiar with and people you trusted.
You can see in the case of the telegram user who proposed the amount of USDT she's willing to sell and also she presented the price at which she's willing to sell it, it's quite easy that way and this as well is done to avoid the charges that comes with the exchange as this is done freely without charges.
Prepare a guide on at least one of the ways to buy Steem in your country (Practical steps with screenshots required).
The step by step method I will be using is the Roqqu exchange, Roqqu is one of the most popular crypto exchange in Nigeria and the exchange has over 1 million users, the exchange is easy and people love using it as well.
The first thing to consider is to deposit money into my Roqqu wallet, then I do this by clicking the deposit.
Then, I input the amount of money I would like to deposit as I had decided to deposit 3000 Naira while the charges added is 58 Naira.
After doing this, I now went to my Steem wallet , click on it , and choose the Buy option.
After choosing to buy, I then input the available balance in my wallet, and it shows that I could get 24.8 steem for the price which I then proceeded.
After confirming the transaction, it says purchase successful, then after that , I got to see the Steem now reflecting in my wallet and it has been added to my balance as I now have 24.87 Steem in my Roqqu wallet.
How would you rate the ease of purchasing Steem tokens in your country?
I have shown the step by step process in purchasing Steem in my country, and from the image, you could see that it's a straight forward method and simple also.
There are various ways to buy Steem in my country, you could purchase it with NGN or you could decide to buy USDT and convert it into Steem , it's very straightforward and easy, the purchase can be completed in just 3 minutes or lesser If you are faster.
Highlight the difficulties in buying Steem in your country, if any?
There is no difficulties of buying Steem in my country unless you want to do it In other stressful method.
In a case that you want to buy Steem with Your Debit Card, it might be difficult because some exchange ban the purchase of coin through Nigeria debit card.
And also, the difficulties is from verification of identity, where the exchange request users to verify their identify through a BVN before they could carry on any crypto transactions, except for this, then there is no other difficulties in buying of Steem.
What's your opinion on the future of the Steem token?
Steem token has been around since 2016 and the token is still maintaining at a good price despite the ups and down in the crypto currency especially last year where we saw a lot of coins downfall.
But still, the Steem token Is much stable and still maintaining a good position, this proves that the coin is here to stay and when cryptocurrency entirely take back it's position and everything goes in a positive trend, then we can expect more good price from the Steem token, I am very confident in this , and I'm sure that very soon , we will see a good price for the Steem token .
What method of buying Steem would you like to be made available in your country?
The method available for buying steem in my country are already working in a better way, they are easier but the only method I dislike is the charges I do come across on the Roqqu exchange.
The Roqqu exchange are in the habit of charging a lot for the purchase of coins on their platform, so in this case, I would love to see a Steem purchase method in P2P as well, this could be done possibly with the likes of telegram as well.
This will be done in a way where there will be two users who are willing to exchange on the telegram platform, then the user will just make the purchase right away and by this, charges could be avoided and it will be between two unique users as well so as to avoid scam.
Conclusion
This article contains the step by step guidelines on how steem could be purchase in Nigeria and as well the trusted exchange at which Nigeria crypto users could utilize to purchase Crypto all around the country.
I would like to invite @jueco, @Lhorgic and @icon-monday to participate in this contest.

@negro-bby It sounds like cryptocurrency adoption is growing quickly in Nigeria, particularly in urban areas like Lagos. You've observed that consumers in major shops are accepting USDT as a form of payment, and that people find it easier and faster to use cryptocurrency for transactions. You've also mentioned that events like meetups organized by Binance are helping to increase awareness and popularity of cryptocurrency in Nigeria. Overall, it seems that you believe cryptocurrency is quickly gaining acceptance in Nigeria, especially in urban areas.
Yes cryptocurrency is gaining alot of popularity and most especially in Lagos, it's one of the country urban city this is the same with other city as well like Port Harcourt and Ibadan.
With what I read from your entry, I can say you have interacted so much with these medium of exchange.
I use binance for most of my transactions, I have not really been too comfortable with roqque though but with the detailed step you showed in this post, I might just reconsider having it as a standby option for subsequent transactions.
Thanks for the invite,I wish you the very best dear.
Thank you for visiting, I just don't like the Binance charges on P2P and that's why I prefer using Roqqu instead, although Binance is more faster.
Cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria is rising daily and you have wrote very well. Best of luck to you.
Crypto is fastly rising and it's good to see this in our country also, thanks best of luck to you too.
Great post, @negro-bby! You have provided a comprehensive and detailed guide on how to buy Steem in Nigeria. The level of crypto adoption in your country is impressive, and it's great to see that more and more people are starting to understand and embrace the benefits of cryptocurrency. The use of crypto exchanges and Telegram channels for buying crypto assets is also a great insight, as it shows the flexibility and convenience that users have when it comes to purchasing digital assets. I appreciate your emphasis on being cautious when using Telegram channels for P2P transactions, as it's important to protect oneself from potential fraud. Keep up the good work!
You are very right friend that crypto is very popular in Nigeria and the adoption is spreading very fast. The P2P method has been a method we use since the crypto restriction began some years ago and in that way, Nigerians have been using crypto with only a little effect from the restriction.
Roqqu is one of the popular crypto exchanges in Nigeria and I can see many people are using it to carry out their transactions in the crypto space but for me Binance has been my favorite of all the exchanges available to Nigerians because it's easy to use and the transaction fees are always very low. I wish you the best friend.
