This first week of the third season of the Steemit Crypto Academy has just ended, and as in the previous season, I must confess that this has been a highly rewarding and enriching experience, which has allowed me to share with students from all corners of the world, who are eager to deepen their knowledge of the cryptographic universe and its many applications.

On this occasion, I was honored with the designation of Professor for the students of the Intermediate Level, the second of the three levels in which the academy has been divided in this new season, and which opens a wide range of possibilities for students to choose their assignments, according to their level of knowledge, after meeting the minimum requirements demanded by the academy.

In this first week, our attention was directed to the study of one of the most used consensus mechanisms in cryptocurrency mining, such as the Proof of Stake (PoS), which was developed from the failures of the Proof of Work (PoW), and that among its many advantages are the lower consumption of energy resources and greater scalability, as well as the staking of coins as a way to generate passive income with low-risk investments, and the various platforms that offer this service to their users.

I was pleasantly surprised by the increase in the number of participants, some of whom were present in previous seasons, but also those who come from the Newcomers' Community and the various programs and communities oriented to newcomers.

As usual, there were excellent papers, the result of a real research effort, which was reflected in the publications that I was responsible for correcting. On the other hand, as was to be expected, and which unfortunately comes as no surprise, there were those who were content with mediocre publications, seeking to obtain the minimum passing grade to qualify for the rewards.

It is important for all users who wish to participate in the Steemit Crypto Academy, to read very well the requirements requested by the Professor, in terms of reputation and the minimum amount of SP in their possession, in addition to citing the sources from which the images have been obtained, and not to use textual quotations within the publication, because our intention is that participants describe in their own terms, the topics requested in the assignment.

On the other hand it is important to emphasize that beyond the written content, the posts must be written in a simple language that can be understandable to readers from the most diverse corners of the planet, likewise, originality and presentation are key factors in the evaluation and can be the difference between a meritorious grade and a mediocre grade, after all, this is our letter of introduction to the rest of the members of the community.

We suggest the use of HTML codes to center and justify titles, texts and images; likewise, adding relevant information to our content, even if it has not been requested in the assignment, is a plus that is appreciated and is taken into account at the time of grading. On the other hand, take a few minutes before publishing, to read a couple of times and correct spelling and writing errors that are detrimental to our work, after all, consider yourselves as members of a newsroom of a prestigious magazine of technology and finance, and that you must ensure that the content to be edited is of the highest quality.

Finally, I reiterate my commitment to the pursuit of excellence within the platform, and I thank the academy once again for having selected me to lead this new season, together with the other teachers.
