Bandwidth in blockchain

Blockchain bandwidth:

In the world of blockchain bandwidth refers to the network's capacity & speed to handle data and transactions. It's like a virtual highway with limited Number of lanes. The more bandwidth available the smoother and faster transactions can flow through the blockchain .

Example:

Imagine you have water pipe that can only handle A certain amount of water At a time . Similarly blockchain bandwidth sets limit on How much information can be processed within A given timeframe . When the network gets congested and reaches its bandwidth limit transaction delays & bottlenecks can occur .

Explanation:

Bandwidth plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency & responsiveness of the blockchain . It determines the scalability & overall performance of the system . Therefore understanding & optimizing bandwidth usage is vital to ensure smooth & seamless operations On the blockchain .

Steem Blockchain uses Resource Credits

As a Steemit user let me explain how the Resource Credits (RC) system works on the Steem Blockchain . Resource Credits play a crucial role In managing resource allocation & utilization effectively .

When I perform actions such As voting commenting or publishing content On Steemit I consume network resources like bandwidth computation power & storage . Instead Of directly using these resources I spend my Resource Credits to carry out these activities .

The amount of Resource Credits I receive is based On the amount of Steem Power I hold . Steem Power represents my long term influence on the platform . The more Steem Power I have the higher my allocation of Resource Credits . This means that with more Steem Power I can engage in more actions without running Out of resources .

It's important to note that Resource Credits Are tied to my account & cannot be transferred or traded to other users . This ensures fairness in the distribution OF resources and prevents any concentration of power .

By implementing the Resource Credits system the Steem Blockchain effectively manages resource consumption & enhances scalability . It ensures that users like Myself can actively participate in various activities while maintaining a balanced allocation of resources across the platform . The Resource Credits system plays a vital role in optimizing the performance and efficiency Of the Steem Blockchain.

Difference between bandwidth and resource credit

The main difference between bandwidth & Resource Credits On the Steem blockchain lies In their functionality and purpose .

Bandwidth:

Bandwidth refers to the capacity and speed at which data and transactions can flow through the network . It sets a limit on the Amount of information that can be processed within A given timeframe . When the bandwidth limit is reached transaction delays & congestion can occur . Bandwidth ensures the efficient handling of data and maintains The Responsiveness of the Blockchain network .

Resource Credits:

Resource Credits are A measure of users resource allocation and consumption on the Steem blockchain. They represent the Amount of resources user can utilize for various activities such as voting commenting and publishing . Resource Credits help manage and optimize Resource usage on The blockchain by providing a mechanism to allocate resources based on a user's Steem Power holdings. Users spend their Resource Credits to perform actions ensuring fair distribution and preventing resource abuse.

bandwidth determines the network's capacity to handle data flow while Resource Credits regulate the allocation and consumption of resources by users . Bandwidth focuses on the technical aspect of Data processing while Resource Credits enable efficient resource management and fair resource utilization within the Steem blockchain ecosystem.

What is your available resource credit?

As a Steemit user I am delighted to share my current Resource Credit Status with you . Currently my mana Is At 3090792393618 which represents 100% utilization of My available Resource Credits . Additionally my Voting power stands at 96.04% indicating A strong capacity to participate in voting activities on the Steem platform .

To Check RC follow the following steps

I'd be happy to guide you through the steps to Check your available Resource Credits . Heres a step-by-step Process :

Step: 1

Open your web browser & visit the SteemDB website https://steemdb.io

2.jpg

Step: 2

Once on The SteemDB homepage locate the search bar at the top of the page .
Enter your Steemit username or the account for which you want to check the Resource Credits in the search bar.
Press Enter or click the search icon to proceed with the search .

Step: 3

SteemDB will display various information & statistics related to the account you entered.
Look for the "Account" section or tab typically found on the left side of the page. Click on it to expand the account details .

Your explanation is very precise. Bandwidth and Resource Credits have different roles and focuses within the context of the Steem blockchain network.Bandwidth does determine the capacity of the network To handle data streams. This is related To the technical aspects of data processing on the network. Bandwidth capacity determines how much data can be transferred and processed by the network In a certain period of time. With bandwidth limitations, the network can manage and maintain good performance.

On the other hand, Resource Credits govern the allocation and consumption of resources by users In the Steem ecosystem. This includes resources such as bandwidth, processing and other services. Resource Credits enable efficient and fair management of resources In the network. By using Resource Credits, users are given limits on the use of their resources ,encouraging efficient use and avoiding abuse.

In combination, bandwidth and Resource Credits work together to maintain performance and fairness in the Steem blockchain network. Bandwidth affects the ability of the network To handle data, while Resource Credits regulate the use of resources by users. With these two aspects in place, the network can operate efficiently and users can make fair use of the resources.Thank you for the clear and perfect explanation of the difference between bandwidth and Resource Credits In the Steem blockchain ecosystem.

Good luck.

Saludos gran amigo hamzayousafzai.

Se puede notar que entiendes y dominas el tema sobre lo que representa los Creditos de Recursos en steemit y lo que representa el ancho de banda en otras blockchain.

Nos has dado análisis con palabras fáciles de asimilar y entender.

Suerte y bendiciones amigo.

Greetings! thank you for your kind words. I'm glad to hear that you found my explanation about Resource Credits In Steemit and bandwidth in Other blockchains to be helpfu l.

My aim is to provide clear & understandable information to assist users in grasping complex Concepts in A simplified manner . It's always rewarding To know that I was able to Convey the message effectively .

I appreciate your wishes of luck and blessings. Likewise, I wish you great success and blessings in all your endeavors . If you have any further questions or need more information , please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help!

@hamzayousafzai Your write up on the bandwidth and Resource Credit is truly informative and well structured, you brought out your point from a unique angle. This is great, keep up the good work✌🏽

thank you so much for your feedback

Thanks for inviting me to such a great contest. You have discussed the points in a great way and delighted to read your post. Such new things learned from your post. You have shown your talent by telling us the difference between bandwidth and Resource credits. Your work is wonderful to such a context that a 3 class student can understand your teachings.

Hola Hamza 😊

Saludos.

Hello Brother hamza , in the early days of the platform, many users were facing issues with bandwidth, which limited their ability to interact and post content. However, the Steemit developers realized this difficulty and took steps to address it, implementing what is known as a Credit Resource (CR). Best of luck

Your friend you have made a very detailed and a very precise good post and try to cover each and every aspect of the topic and I am really inspired to read your post it is so well written and well organised that it is easily for everybody to understand and I think for every user on this plate from must know the difference between the resource credit and the bandwid.

As you as you have mention the bandwid is a speed at which the data is transferred and secured and it is a very good way of string data where as the resources credit are another good way on the cryptography and blockchain which the allocations so I think you have tried to precisely give us the difference between these two bandwid and the resources credit.

Also I have also try to make a post on this topic as well and give my thoughts on the differences of both of these two do read my post valuable comment thank you
