Greetings, and thanks for this opportunity given to us to learn different concepts and teams related to blockchain. As a web developer, so much has been running through my mind from the time I joined the steemit platform. I needed to find out the answer for myself. A few weeks ago I had to make a series of posts to share on the concept of Web3.0. I will shed more light on it. Web 3.0 is the latest innovation in internet technology that puts together machine learning, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. So the concept is not just a team related to blockchain, but the blockchain is the backbone of web 3.0. This concept took my interest as a web developer, and learning innovations in internet technology helped to develop my skills and knowledge in the domain.

Tell us about your favorite concept or term related to blockchain, try to be explanatory and make sure to give your opinion. (For example Decentralized, Genesis Block, Hard Fork, Proof of Stake.)

My favorite concept is Web 3.0, which I mentioned is the latest internet technology in recent times and will be taking over the internet in the future. This internet-blockchain concept allows users to own their data and are paid for spending time on the web. Yeah, I know I will think of the steemit platform. You are thinking correctly, the steemit platform is a web 3.0 application.

What is Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is the interconnection of data in a decentralized manner to give users a faster and a personalized user experience on the internet. As I mentioned above, it was developed using artificial intelligence, machine learning, semantic web, and blockchain security system to secure user data. Web 3.0 is all about decentralization, openness, and incredibility of user utility. The use of the semantic web in web 3.0 is to interpret the context and concept of the data in a more understanding manner.

Web 3.0 is the place to compensate for time we spend and data when compared to the game tech giants play over our data. These companies(Google, Facebook, etc) have been exploiting the users collecting our valuable data and benefiting from it, while in the case of web3.0, the user will be paid for the data they share with these companies. Web 3.0 is an open-source application, with no intermediary between users' data (be it public or private), you do not need permission to engage, available to anyone who is connected to the internet from any location, and rewards its user. The web 3.0 features are what make this third-generation concept on the web my favorite. Why do you think it is important in the blockchain?

Blockchain is the foundation of Web 3.0, and web 3.0 will not be able to establish its feature without the presence of the blockchain system. Note that the driving direction of web 3.0 is a decentralized platform for its users. Users want a place where they can interact without being interrupted by any intermediate body.

Blockchain is the place to make the advancement in web technology from 2.0 to 3.0, which will be more comprehensive and effectively transform the crypto sphere into a more effective dimension in the future. As I mentioned above, Web 3.0 is all about clever and accurate data openness as it will use bits of data to get relevant information.

Another important is the relation between web3.0, crypto, and blockchain. So people get to think that web3.0 is the same as blockchain. It is because both Web3.0 and blockchain systems strive for transparency and openness, as they can still work together. We need blockchain in web 3.0 to keep data organized in block forms, and the cryptographic hashes to entrust highly data security. With these applications of the blockchain and crypto features on web 3.0, users will have access to content, application, and resources when using the right cryptographic keys. Blockchain with the decentralized feature will give every user access to the web3.0 platform.

Now you might be thinking, how did I add crypto to it? Yeah, blockchain gives way to an open internet that makes use of decentralized apps and smart contracts. Web 3.0 used the decentralized app and smart contracts to automate operations on the platforms. For web 3.0 to get more traffic on the internet, the need for crypto players to contribute with the best up-to-date technology.

As you see, web3.0 is fully reliant on blockchain technology to make use of its features and prove the right platform for its users.

Do you think that the existence of the blockchain would be possible without this concept? Is there an alternative or similar term?

No, it will not be possible. This is because blockchain is the foundation of web 3.0. After the concept work for Siri and Alexa, which was built on putting machine learning and use of internet services, later came the bring together of machine learning, and AI for the web service, and it was discovered it will only run on a decentralized protocol. Now it was overall important to find the possibility of having blockchain in web 3.0. Web 3.0 needs to be interoperability, automation (use of the smart contract), censorship-resistant, and p2p data transfers.

For all these reasons, there was no other option than blockchain, which can serve as a possibility for the features of the third generation of the internet. Blockchain moves companies from the conventional way of managing and storing data to a unique collection of data that is subject to collective data management. Using the state layer method helps in transferring files in an effective p2p copy-protected manner. There is no way for the third generation web innovation to work without blockchain.

For now, with the knowledge, I have so far. I may say they are not alternatives yet.

Well, for me I think more implementation of web 3.0 will go a long way to make the internet a safe place in the future. The tools are already available and used already. Given that the transition from web 2.0 to web 3.0 so far at the moment has some technical difficulties, which is one of the reluctance of companies to move. So starting integration now to web 3.0 will sever time and resources and users enough time to learn how to use the different platforms.

Conclusion

Web 3.0 is a transparent, trustable, and decentralized platform based on blockchain technology. Here users have better data security, which is distributed across a vast network. Chances of hacking a web 3.0 platform are less likely to be possible given that the platform works on end-to-end encryption of records.
