All of our academy moderators wish you a good and energetic start to the week so that as always you will participate in the last week of this Season 8 with all its competitions and we also give a very special dedication to the wonderful members of the Steemit Crypto Academy community who have remained loyal to our competitions and who provide worthy content With the good knowledge that they acquire, which greatly benefited all users of the platform, so we welcome you to the second week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, and we hope that we will participate in this competition with new users who meet all the conditions. which will be held starting tomorrow, Monday, April 3 at 00:00 UTC, to contribute to enriching your publications platform, as well as to interact with your colleagues by leaving relevant comments and votes.
What is Staking?
This week, we will be focusing on an interesting topic related to cryptocurrency staking, which is a process of locking cryptocurrencies for the purpose of securing a blockchain. The purpose of this contest is to find out How staking works as well as your attitudes regarding staking on Steemit, and we want to read your understanding.
The process of "Crypto Staking" is defined as depositing the currencies you own into a platform to be used in what is known as a "proof of stake system", and under this system, participants must deposit amounts of cryptocurrency to support the network "Blockchain" allows to validate new transactions and add new blocks.
Depositing cryptocurrency is similar to depositing cash into a high yield savings account, where banks lend your deposits and you get interest on your account balance. In theory, storage is not much different from the bank deposit model.
What is Expected in the Contest?
Use your own words to define the cryptocurrency staking operation and explain how it works?
Does our Steemit ecosystem offer staking for its STEEM token? if yes, show how does it work?
Do you choose to stake your STEEM tokens on the Steemit platform or do you prefer staking on an exchange wallet? Argue your choices.
Are you working to build your Steem Power balance? Do you have enough SP to upvote worthy posts and comments? Do you recognize the importance of engagement?
Contest Guidelines
Post your articles in the Steemit Crypto Academy community. The participation time is between Monday, April 3rd, 2023, 00:00 UTC to Sunday, April 9th, 2023, 23:59 UTC.
The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title should be *Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S8W6 - STEEM Staking . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s8w6 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.
Rewards
- SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.
- At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.
Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

¿Qué es hacer staking?
Esta semana, nos centraremos en un tema interesante relacionado con el staking de criptomonedas, que es un proceso de bloqueo de criptomonedas con el fin de proteger una cadena de bloques. El propósito de este concurso es averiguar cómo funciona el staking, así como sus actitudes con respecto al staking en Steemit, y queremos leer su comprensión.
El proceso de "Crypto Staking" se define como depositar las monedas que posee en una plataforma para ser utilizadas en lo que se conoce como un "sistema de prueba de participación", y bajo este sistema, los participantes deben depositar cantidades de criptomonedas para respaldar la red " Blockchain" permite validar nuevas transacciones y agregar nuevos bloques.
