Steemit Crypto Academy Contest Season 8 Week 3 - Steem and Tron Integration
Hello Everyone, I hope you all are doing well, and enjoying your happy and healthy life. I am here to share my first post and first participation in the steemit engagement challenge season 8 week 3 in steemit crypto academy. I loved this topic as I think have enough knowledge about Tron to share my participation.
Steem and TRX integration is the integration of Steem and Tron Blockchain. As we all know that Steem Blockchain is a decentralized platform. The Steem Blockchain is giving rewards to users in Steem, Steem Power, and SBD.
Tron Blockchain is also a decentralized social media platform like Steem Blockchain but it works intelligently. Tron and steem Blockchain integration was announced in February 2020. Due to this Integration Steem Blockchain users get an extra reward TRX along with Steem or SBD and Steem power.
The key benefits of this integration were to merge two strong platforms and make a more influential social media platform. Another main benefit was that steemit users will get an extra reward in the form of a Tron. The native token of steemit is Steem and Tron is TRX.
The integration was not only beneficial for steemit users in getting extra rewards by merging with the Tron ecosystem as well as steemit provide Tron users to get a platform where they can communicate and share their content, get rewards in return in the form of Steem, SBD, TRX and Steem power.
Ratio of TRX Tokens
After this integration with the Tron ecosystem, the TRX ratio after getting post-payouts was 1SP:1TRX. Like if any user were getting a posted payout of 1 Steem power then they will get 1 TRX in reward too. So, according to this TRX amount of post payout was equal to the total Steem power of that post.
Twice TRX
But you can't receive TRX in return for Steem or SBD. If anyone set posts to 100% power up that means you will get post payout in Steem power only and TRX will be twice than 50 % SBD / 50% SP. Even the TRX earning by doing curation will be the same 1:1 ratio. If you have more Steem power to upvote then you will more Trx in curation reward.
TRX Reduced to Half
But 6 months ago on 12 Oct 2022, The Steemit Team Announced a new update in which they share news about Steem and Tron Blockchain integration. In which they share the news of changing the ratio of TRX rewards for our post-payouts.
In this update post, they share that now we will receive half TRX the previous and the new ratio of getting Trx in reward was 1 SP: 0.5 TRX. That means if you have a posted payout of 5 Steem power but you will receive half the amount of TRX, 2.5 TRX. This was good news for some users but not for others.
As I already share we will get Trx as a curation reward and the ratio was the same. But after this update, you will get half the amount of TRX in reward as compared to steem power earned. For if you upvoted a post and you will get a curation payout of 10 Steem power but you will get 5 TRX in return instead of 10. This means the ratio for curation rewards was also changed like post payout.
TRX as Curation Reward
Getting TRX as a curation reward was another beneficial thing of this integration between Steem and Tron blockchain. Then users will also get more curation rewards in the form of TRX as they upvoted other users' post posts with a high vote percentage. I have shared all the information which I know about Steem and integration til now and also the new update about post-payout ratios.
I think on steemit the easiest thing is the claim your rewards. The most easier step we can do on steemit is by claiming through your steemit wallet.
Steemit Wallet the claiming reward by steemit wallet requires just 2 steps.
After logging into your steemit account. Click on the wallet option as I showed in the picture.
- Then after opening the steemit wallet, it will show your recent post payout on the top. Click on Redeem option and your reward including Steem/SBD, Steem power, and TRX will be added to your wallet as shown in the picture below.

There are some ways to withdraw Trx, through this, you can withdraw Trx to other apps or crypto exchange sites.
Crypto Exchange, the first way to withdraw Trx from your steemit wallet is through crypto exchange apps like Poloneix and Binance. We can withdraw Trx by putting in Binance and phoenix addresses and then pasting your Tron private keys to confirm the transfer.
Tron Wallets The second way to withdraw Trx from your steemit wallet is by connecting or importing your steemit wallet to other Tron wallets like Tronlink wallet, and TRONSCAN. There are many more tron wallets with which we can connect our steemit wallet.
Person to Person (P2P) The third and most easier way to withdraw Trx from your steemit wallet is by sending your Trx to another person's wallet. But the most important this ing that a person should be trustworthy and you can easily send Trx to that person without any hesitation.
As I already mention in ways of withdrawing your Trx through Tron wallet. Now I am going to share the method by connecting my steemit wallet to the Tronlink pro wallet application. Through this, I can see my Trx in the steemit wallet and Tronlink wallet as well and can withdraw from both wallets easily. Here are the steps given below.
- Open your Play Store application and search Tronlink wallet on it. Download the Tronlink pro wallet on your mobile phone.
On opening the application they will give you 2 options either create a wallet or import wallet. I have chosen the import wallet option as I have to connect my steemit wallet to the Tronlink wallet.
Now on the next page they will ask you to put your Tron private key which will be in your steemit keys pdf on the top or it will be a separate pdf as Tron keys. Paste your Tron private keys and click on the next step as shown in the pictures.

- Now there will be an option for setting a password, the password should contain 8 words, upper case and lower case letters, and any number like 1, 2, or other. I put in a strong password and then re-enter the password for confirmation. I click on the import private key option and it will import your wallet.

- Here is the final step and image where my steemit wallet is connected to the Tronlink wallet. Now I can withdraw Trx either from the steemit wallet or the Tronlink wallet.
Yes, I face the problem that I wasn't getting rewards in my steemit wallet even though they show on Redeem time but after they weren't added. Then I ask some seniors and read steemit team announced that due to some technical issues we are not getting Trx but they will add it to our wallet after some time. After a few days, the steemit team solved this problem and I get my all-time reward of Trx in my wallet.
Tron Users Get Support
Steem and Tron's integration has a lot of benefits for users on steemit and the Tron blockchain as users on the Tron blockchain after this integration gets a chance to share their content on steemit and get rewards for their quality content in the form of Steem, SBD, TRX, and Steem power.
Getting More Curation Rewards
With this integration users who were working on steemit got more support like they were getting the reward in Steem, SBD, and Steem power but after integration, they were also getting TRX in the reward which encourages them to share more quality content and get rewards.
Withdraw TRX instead of Steem
There are a lot of users on steemit who have joined Club100 getting higher Trx in post payout but they can't withdraw any Steem so, they are withdrawing Trx got fulfilling their needs. Now the price of TRX in Pakistan is so good that people are earning through selling Trx and joining club75, and Club100.
Exchange TRX to other Cryptocurrency
Last year, I used to exchange Trx through poloneix and get steems/SBD in return which I transferred back to my Steemit Wallet and try to power up more Steem as much as possible. So, another benefit of this integration is getting Trx in the reward which we can exchange for another cryptocurrency like Steem and increase our Steem power on steemit.

Dear friend you are doing great work on steemit and i am inspired from it. You wrote very well about thectrx integration and its benefits for users.
This valuable knowledge will be helpful for users to know how much trx they are getting and which club status is good for them in term of better rewards
As you told us in post reward system has been changed now, we got half trx as compared to sp still it may more beneficial for club75 and club 100 as they can get better reward.
Your method of explaining how we can connect wallet with external link is highly appreciated as its comprehensive and easy to understand in simple language.

Apny Steem and Tron Integration k bary me kafi achi jankari di ha, apny ratio k bary me b kafi acha explain kia ha k pehly ye 1 Sp: 1 TRX k hisab se tha, phr 12 October ko is ratio ko half kar dia gaya jese k, 1Sp : 0.5 TRX.
Sawal number 2 me apny hamy TRX rewards ko radeem karny ka tareeqa bataya ha, joky kafi malumati ha, apny hamy Tron wallet ko ek bahr k wallet se b jor kar dhikhaya ha.

You have beautifully explained the topic Steem and TRX integration and what are it's benefits to users.
You have explained the ratio of Steem and TRX on payouts that was in start 1:1 but now it is 0.5:1 as of 12 Oct 2022 Steemit update.
You have also shared how one can claim and withdraw TRX from Steemit Wallet to other wallet.
In last, you explained the procedure on how one can attach external wallet to Steemit wallet in order to claim TRX rewards directly to his/her external account or wallet.
