Steemtrail History curation channel - introduction
Dear fellow steemians – do you think History is boring? Are you fed up with this topic since school as you never really cared about this stuff? If the answer is yes this post might not be for you.
If the answer is: “Hell no, I am an addict to history TV channels, I read all about the beginning of civilization, history of sports, beginning of music or anything related to what our forefathers have been up to” - this might be of interest – keep on reading.
When it comes to history, some of my main areas of interest are world history, evolution (dinosaurs lol), sports and music. I enjoy it as it's like exploring a different world that maybe helps understanding our present age. Questions how people living in tents have been able to build amazing things like the pyramids in Egypt? Why did some crazy people in England started kicking a ball for fun? Isn’t this totally cool to read about?
In a nutshell – history allows us to broaden our own horizons and get an understanding of different cultures and ideologies. You always have to learn. History is a way to do this – and the new history-trail on Steemtrail would like to help finding and rewarding great content related to History.
Not only will your posts be read by the curators of the history-trail which is just starting. If your posts meet our guidelines, you may gain more support as we will get your posts recommended to other users and curators! I want to build a great History community on Steemit – and being a lonely soldier today I want you to be a part of that community! Our team will grow soon. I am planning to curate at least 5-10 History posts per day.
What shall i do? Some guidelines
Some general guidelines to follow to increase chances of receiving support and recommendations for curation by @steemtrail in the following:
- Original Content – We would like to see original writing and personal touches in your posts. At least write a personal summary what you think about a certain history story you are posting
- Correct Tags – If your post is primarily about history, then please tag it accordingly by using “history” as your primary tag. This will help sort the posts that we curate for the category.
- Do not forget Citations – Content that is simply copied & pasted will not be eligible for curation. If you’re using images, quotes, or copied information from other source, cite them please
- Formatting and Writing – As a German I can not be too picky in terms of spelling and grammar but you all know a well-written post is important for readers, proofread your content before you hit the publish button and consider using Markdown or Editor at least (know it is not easy but helps you)
These are just some tips and guidelines that should help you receiving maximum support by the curating teams.

I read this post with pleasure, im a college student of Protection of cultural Heritage, so im into History ( Especially Middle age and modern History , but i love too Roman history and contemporary one) , archeology and art . Im happy to find this Steemtrail about history, i cant wait to read (And maybe to write if i feel ready for it, my english is still not perfect and my knowledge in some subjects too ) some interesting historycal post =) Thank you for the post that make me know about Steem trail .

Wow, I've been waiting for a program like this. Since joining in steemit, I often get lost in history tagging. Many of my friends love history, but they are more synonymous with the world of archeology. I hope to become a member of Steemtrail History. For the record, I am a bachelor graduate in the history of education. Since graduating college, I often apply the basic knowledge I can by writing history on blogs. Thanks to this opportunity, I am very grateful to finally find people who love the history of the world, although our point of view may differ in understanding historical truth.
