Sometimes we were invited to the homes of the married men on the Sqn. While there you took part in whatever activity they had planned.

Taking the kids to the river for a swim. No coral for them to get hurt on.

Then leaving the river we went over a bump, suddenly the exhaust was loud. We had knocked the muffler off.

Out with the cleanest dirty shirt, climb under the car, do a quick repair, and head back to their home for tea.

Or a proud Dad taking wife and daughter to show them one of the Sunderlands in the braby.
