Structures That Shouldn't Exist PART 1: The Cholula Pyramid - Mexico

A series of texts about structures that should not exist, I'll start off with the Cholula Pyramid in Mexico. Many ancient buildings around the world are so old that they are now beneath the surface of the earth. This is the case with Cholula Pyramid in Mexico, the largest building in the world by volume, which is so big and so old that the Spaniards thought it was a hill and built a Catholic church at the top. Today, it is known that what they once thought was the hill is, in fact, an ancient pyramid. Digging works last for decades. For this reason, Cholula Pyramid is a perfect example of many buildings that are still beneath the surface of the earth and are waiting to be discovered. There are many such buildings and in the coming days, we will talk about them, once at the time. I'm inviting you to go together on this exciting and mystical journey into the unknown.

The pyramid is huge. It has a base of 450 by 450 meters (1,480 by 1,480 ft) and a height of 66 m (217 ft). According to the Guinness Book of Records, it is the largest pyramid as well as the largest monument ever constructed anywhere in the world, with a total volume estimated at over 4.45 million cubic meters, even larger than that of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, which is about 2.5 million cubic meters. It's not as high as the pyramid in Giza, but it's much larger in volume.

So, if the pharaohs in Egypt used the workforce of the then most powerful state in the world to build their complex of pyramids, the question arises who built this, even greater pyramid and how.

History suggests that the pyramid was already thousands of years old and entirely overgrown by vegetation when Spaniards with Cortez arrived in Cholula in 1509.

The pyramid hid under the earth until it was discovered in 1910 when workers were constructing an insane asylum at the base.

From the 1930s until today, great efforts have been made to fully excavate the pyramid. The pyramid site accounts for only six hectares of an archeological heritage site believed to extend over 154 hectares. However, 90 hectares of this land is privately owned, and there is resistance to major archeological exploration.

After many years of construction, the author of this building remains unknown. But Cholula is not a lonely case. In the following texts, we will see that every continent on Earth has more structures that should not exist and that for the explanation we have to overcome current knowledge of today's recognized science and go deep into the unknown to get to know more about the builders of these structures.
