First Autumn Hike of Year!!! Part One: Noblett Lake

in #hiking4 years ago (edited)

I've been working about 70-80 hours a week, so I haven't had the time go on any adventures lately...Until Wednesday! I finally got a weekday off work and ventured out to hit the trails and find some abandoned and historic stuff in the woods with my good friend @hethur240 :)

As I mentioned, I've been working overtime the past couple weeks, so I'm not feeling particularly "wordy".... So, this post will mostly be photos. Heather and I hiked a nice trail along Noblett Lake with our dogs, and then went to check out an abandoned camp/recreation area (which I will post about later!) We saw several varieties of wild mushrooms and got some fresh air and exercise! Days like these keep me sane!

It was a beautiful day in the Missouri Ozarks!!!

And the perfect time of year to find mushrooms!

Crappy photos of the doggos...but what a cute moment!

Onward to the next stop!!! Stay tuned for pictures of a ruined Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the middle of the forest!

Thanks for checking it out! follow melody.jpg

Wow, so many great pictures! Beautiful!

Thanks! We lucked out to have such a gorgeous day away from home and work!

Wow, it's so beautiful there! I had no idea😊 And great photos by the way!

Thank you! It was a beautiful day to go for a hike and check out the scenery!

A beautiful day to be out enjoying nature! Great photos. And wow so many different kinds of mushrooms! I've seen a few this fall but not a selection like that! Thanks for sharing all that beauty.

We saw so many mushrooms! I didn’t even share half of them because my photos weren’t all that great. But I was so grateful for the beautiful weather! I haven’t been on Steemit much, so I need to see what you’ve been up to! Always nice to hear from you, Melinda :) :) :)

Nice photos. 70-80 hours a week is not fun... What do you do that has you working that much overtime? Back when I was a studio photographer for a national chain, we would work like that.

Glad you had a chance to get our into nature for a bit!

I work in pharmacy, so I stay very busy at this time of year. I truly cherish my days with nature and my camera!

Ah. That would do it. I have a friend who works as a pharmacist in Colorado and volunteers at a children's hospital, too.

I’m a pharmacy tech, so I don’t normally work this much. But that’s just a day in the life for a pharmacist! Job security is nice, but it’s important to make time for the things that really matter :)!
