Hiking the mountains in northern Norway.
"Svadet" and the Henriksen mountain 463 m. 11.05.2019.
Svadet is located In the fjord Efjorden in northern Norway. The mountain is of granite and scrubbed by the ice during the last ice age. The hike up the smooth rock up to the Henriksen mountain is around 2,4 km. The surroundings with high mountains and blue sea make the experience unique. It is easy access from the main road, E6 and place for parking the car.
It was nice weather yesterday so we decided use the day in the mountain.
The mountain rises steeper and steeper the further up you come, then flatten out at the top. The rock is smooth, but at the same time it has a rough surface that gives good grip to walk.
The weather was great yesterday and Nero had to cool of in the river.
On the top the mountain flatten out and give us a view to the mountains further away.
We walked further up to the Henriksen mountain.
On the highest point we had a great 360 degrees view to the area where I live.
There is still some snow from around 400 meters and up, but it is melting fast with higher temperatures.
Trees are a magnet, so I often walk from tree to tree with some kind of character.
The flat area is popular for offroad bikers, I hope the wear helmets.
A little green.
Conclusion:
If you are in the area I will recommend the hike :-).
Have a great day.
Harald

The entire area looks awesome for hiking. It just looks so unspoilt from mankind. I am sure it is still fairly cold up there, but not for you hardened locals.
The area is great for hiking. We have lots of mountain and are relatively few people so it is possible to hike without seeing other people. On yesterdays hike we the temperature was around 15 degrees Celsius. Perfect when hiking👍
