For those that are worried, I am still me and will say what I feel needs to be said. This doesn't mean I am not willing to listen to honest, straightforward idea's and answers. I have never claimed to know everything and never will but if you don't ask the questions or voice how you are feeling how do you grow and learn?
My Friend @felt.buzz lead me to a post written by @nonameslefttouse. Everyone should go read it. It brings up a lot of very good points of views.
Below is the comment I left on their post.
I made a video last night and posted it. I have been frustrated by all I have read. I am usually a very positive person and try and see the "best case", "the other side" in everything.
Most of what I said, others have said too, but they were not saying it out loud for many reasons. I knew I had enough to post and was very tired and wanted answers. Straight answers. My friend @felt.buzz lead me here to your post. While as another commenter said, it is not the most humorist post I ever read, it does have straight answers that needed to be said. Thank YOU for that!
I have been here for a year and have powered up the whole time. I delegate to a few places that I know will help more people then I would ever be able to get to.
So yes, I agree that a user has to put in the work and not just take. I spent a year doing just that but it doesn't mean that I don't deserve to be frustrated with how HF20 was handled. It doesn't mean that I too don't deserve to say how I'm feeling.
Steem is a place where we all are able to have free speech no matter who we are.
If I would have seen your post where you said to power up, I would have agreed with you for the fact that has been just what I have done and for the reasons you state.

A wise comment left on this post by @kabir88 that I want to make sure everyone can see.
- Sometimes you have to zoom out a little and think about the bigger picture. These are the important points I see:
- The whole cryptoverse is less than 10 years old. What did cars, the internet, computers, nuclear power look like at that age?
- steem is 2 years old. Does anyone remember what other social platforms were like at 2 years old?
- blockchain gives steem users some great benefits
- You can never be forced to sell. If you own shares, you can be forced to sell via a takeover, a court order etc
- The hardfork was poorly managed, but the underlying characteristics that make the steem blockchain attractive haven't changed
- There seems to be a misunderstanding between a temporary restriction of use of the blockchain with long term restrictions. Once the RC system stabilises, most users should be able to carry on as they were
- If you want to do more in STEEM, then having to hold more STEEM and not sell it off is a good thing in my view.

Funny you mention the prove me wrong because @robertandrew posed a question the other day. He asked what do you intend to do with STEEM and my answer was to change lives. Really change them. I think I've succeeded in some manner but am not even close to the 'end game'. Patience is a virtue sis. Hang in there with me🤗💕💜

YOU have succeeded in ways you don't even know. For THAT I thank You and always will. Patience? what is this word and meaning? why do I keep seeing it near my name? LOLL I will try to be better but I can only be me and call it as I see it some days.

howdy there snook! well this was a surprise to me but I totally understand your reasoning if it looks like the blockchain was designed for major corporations.. oh my gosh one of the things I love about steemit is the fact that there are no ads..I shudder to think of the big investors coming in if they are retailers like Coke!
Thanks so much for your honesty and thought-provoking video. I've been a little tempered in my approach since the hardfork also but figure I'll re assess in a week's time.
me also @janton!!! let's hope it never gets to that but I think that might be asking to much.......so let's hope it's a while away and if it does come they are not like other sites where you can not read the posts because the add's get in the way. One can hope and dream until then.
yes, time will tell.....let's hope for a better report in a weeks time by us all :D

howdy back Snook! well you are very welcome and thank you for talking about this because I haven't heard everyone obviously, but I doubt if anyone else brought this stuff up.
We need investors and bigger money coming in so the odds of steemit and steem making it are increased as long as they don't turn it into a facebook or a place where the ads are always in the way and popping up constantly where you can't escape them! like you said, everyone hates that.
I'm suspicious but will give it some more time and thank God we have people like you out there who will keep us informed!

You are not alone, not alone in any way at all, there are so many of us who are thinking the same or very similar things, yet most haven't spoken up about it like you have here for whatever reasons.
Probably "fear of loss" is one of the main reasons why people don't speak their minds here, fear that they may not get upvoted or flagged just for speaking their true thoughts.

You know me...it's all I can do is be me and say how I feel when I think that the saying will help. This time I think I received the most benefit from talking like I did...... it helped clear out all the negative energy that was following me around......
I'm not saying things right now are all clear and bright but for me, it helped to clear the air and my head.

Open and from the heart as always @snook, I don't have the answers but I do know I can see how HF20 was intended to improve things - just the execution didn't quite go as smoothly as planned. Now we are on update 20.5 there should be a real improvement to the posting abilities of the smallest accounts - once all Witnesses and nodes of course get caught up on it.
I do wonder how much of my time I invested chasing around commenting and sharing posts will now be wasted as the very accounts I was trying so hard to retain give up in desperation. I hope they don't though, I still see the bright future on the horizon.

I'm not sure I did that much as a Witness, other then follow instructions and install 5 software patches while watching 5 very slow replays of the blockchain trundle through. And Ironically I have had even less pay this week, because every replay is 7 hours on my server and I sign a block every 6 hours - so every time an updated needs a replay I miss a block.
20.5 Seems to have solved most the issues now, people are getting active now and I think we can get back to how things were. Hopefully the real benefit will be less spam and improved thought out comments.

I hope so too!!! but until then............ after thinking a bit today and how we really have our hands in cuff's and not the pink furry kind....... it's up to us to keep each other's spirits up and all hope for the best in the end...... which is easier said than done......
I am very lucky to be surrounded by many wonderful people here on Steemit...... to give me some hope again........but will I be leary for a long while to come? yes, yes I will...... but we only have one life and we choose how we are going to face it.......and with whom.......
plus taking a day off has helped me put a few things into perspective..... one day at a time. I hope........ LOL
I feel ya, @snook. My post last night was pretty much along the same lines.
It doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that @ned cashed in a boatload of Steem right before HF20.
Definitely not a showing of solidarity.
Then again, it is what it is. I'm choosing to take a wait and see approach, but I'm very frustrated with the lack of answers, and the overall evident incompetence in rolling out this hardfork.
I'm off to bed for now, but will post tomorrow, and hold out hope that we'll get some real answers soon. Tomorrow, folks!
EXactly THIS!!! I SO understand how you feel and I think many of us do......so now all we can do it support each other when we see one of us feeling so down.......that and hope it all does work out in the end...... but until then..... make sure we ALL get more sleep LOLL

My dear moonhaired friend, It was hard to see you so discouraged and sad at the beginning, took good 12 minutes to see your first smile. I know it's been struggling hard for everyone, as you see, "we'll see". For me I'm going to resume normally and will see on the go, I love to engage and comment... if I find limitations then I'll see and will act accordingly but meanwhile I decided to just hope they did for the best... though I think it was very "messy" . I've invested (not money cos I can't afford) but lots of time and I refuse to think it's wasted time, it's never wasted time, I have found many friends here (including you) and well, let´s give us all a week to see where we head... and remember many sites open and close but the connections you do, they can last.

I think what we have all been thinking needed to be said......to get it out in the open and on the blockchain and not hidden just in Discord. But like you said....now it's time to wait and see and go back to trying to be just US and see where that takes us all and make adjustments from there.
