Tips To Improve Your Items At Steemit

in #help7 years ago

Well today I come to share this post that is translated, whose real author is @paolasofy25, on how to improve our articles.

My first stories and articles were a huge challenge. I had no idea how to start the first sentence, much less how to continue or end the writing. My head seemed like a whirlwind of ideas and I just wrote the first thing that came to mind. So you can imagine how painful and vague my writings were.

However, as I was practicing writing I realized that I was becoming more and more fluid, natural and very my style. This writing is like any other art: it requires time, patience and a lot of exercise.

Beginning to write on the Steemit platform is not far from writing an article on its own, Facebook and Twitter. The difference is that in Steemit the topics you choose to write are remunerated, free and 100% original. Here I decided to let you - according to my experience - 7 practical ways in how you can improve your writing and post on this social platform:

  • Ask yourself which are the areas of your greatest interest: Writing just by writing has no meaning without telling you that you will not enjoy a single second of what you are writing. My recommendation is that you analyze very well what are the themes of your greatest attraction and areas in which you are good developing you so that you can use them in Steemit as a writing. So take your time and focus on what you like. If topics arise that are of your future interest and you do not have much knowledge about it, I recommend that you investigate so that the ideas that you are going to express have critical bases: do not become a charlatan writer.

  • Connect your topics of interest with personal experiences, anecdotes of other people and phrases that you have read as in books and magazines: All kinds of personal and non-personal experiences are bridges that serve to increase our empathy for the world around us. When you write and attach some type of experience, you increase the attractiveness of what you write and the message that you want to make known is more visible. Your writing can have a great impact on Steemit if you know how to combine the content to develop with something that represents an attraction, offer advice and improve the quality of life of people.

  • Use the tools provided by the Steemit platform: The steemit platform - in the Submit a story section - has the tools you can work with and create beautiful articles. In the Editor section is: The letter format you want to use: bold and italic, bullets, numbering and blocknote to put famous phrases. The types of letters to use: large, small and normal, among others. You can also insert images either from "Image" or in Insert images by dragging & dropping, pasting from the clipboard, or by selecting them in the RawHtml section - To insert videos only copies and paste the url of the video in submit a story.

  • Make a small map in your head or on a sheet of paper how you want to carry the sequence of what you write: When you write, keep in mind the chain of events you want to express in that writing. For this I recommend that you be clear about what content you will write after you have selected a certain topic. If you want to talk about "5 Tips to be happy in life" then determine what are those 5 tips, which you want to imply in each of them, whether or not you want to give examples, append sentences of authors or personal experience. I assure you that having a small scheme on how to follow the sequence of what you are going to write will be of much help.

  • Write in a simple, concrete, professional and style: Avoid plagiarism at all costs; I know it's not easy to write but you need to have confidence in yourself and let things flow. The simpler you write, the better you will make readers understand. A beautiful writing is not due to just throwing words in a paragraph or searching what word I will post later. Writing is expressing yourself fluently. You learn to write by typing.

  • Read aloud: Read aloud during the process of writing your essay or after finishing it is very important. With this you will realize - as you read aloud your writing - how coherent and inconsistent it is. That way you can make corrections about it and improve your fluency in writing.

Choose a title that is attractive to users / steemers: Titles are very important when writing an article. I recommend that you first finish your article and then create the title. This way you will know how your article is exactly focused and you will be able to find more easily the keywords and useful to devise that title. To give some examples of how to create titles, I recommend the following models:

  • Curiosity: One body and three consciences, three consciences and one body @saroft
  • Persuasive: 7 Ways to Deal ...
  • Interrogative: Do you know the formula ...
  • Errors: 3 mistakes I made to ...
  • Promises / solutions: 6 practical tips / recommendations for ... Like these tips ...
