The language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 3, DTube Video #8 (final)

in #hebrew2 years ago (edited)

Welcome to my DTube Hebrew reading & language series.

The full study is now on line covering the Alef-Beyt here in my blog. This is a beginners program to teach letters, vowels, and reading. The vowels are marked in this bible and are designed to help avoid confusion on what a word is and how it is pronounced. The confusion is obvious in the hundreds of interpretations globally.

A milestone was hit, having read three full chapters. If you have been with me this far, you are already seeing words that are familiar and easily recognizable. Congratulations.

We finished Genesis with 3:21-24

We start with God making clothes for his children, there innocence gone. I do not see anger from God in this passage. I see Elohim making good on the promise that he made when the choice was offered.

Immeasurable bliss for obedience vs. unspeakable pain and unending work that we still have today.

They had access to the garden, no work to do, and access to the tree of life. The forbidden fruit changed all that. He says, "See, man is no like one of us. He knows good and evil." If he reaches out and eats of the tree of life, he would live forever. In other words, they will surely die in the next several hundred years.

They are sent out of the garden and and cherubs (plural) were place there to guard the way of the tree of life. A continually turning flame of the sword between man and the the way.

The messiah has many titles, HaTsadik (the righteous one), HaMashiach (the anointed one), Emmanuel (literally "God With Us"), HaDerech (the way), plus many more.

Light or Skin

The words are pronounced the same but the meaning is quite different as is the spelling. The same goes for sight, cite, and site as an example in English.

This week I am reading slowly and leaving space for you to repeat the words as I go. Please click the links to read with me on DTube. Thanks.

Thanks to your Hebrew lessons now atleast I can read few words and know meanings of few! We never get this chance if you are not willing to share your knowledge! Today you shared another great section of the lesson and a DTube video to get a clear idea about it as well.

Shabbat Shalom~

Indeed, many of us can already read the words. I was interested in interesting Bible passages. Thanks for the lessons.

It's great bible word indeed. I prefer to hear your powerful collaboration. Bible verses has more meaningful lessons.

@hebrew this is nice post and valuable lesson hank you.

We were studying the tree of life this week with the kids. Amazing that it shows up again in Revelation and that is when we will truly live forever...When our Elohim comes to tabernacle with us in the new earth. It’s as if the garden will be back and with trees that heal the nations.

He works all things together for the good of those who love him.

An excellent lesson, my friend, and studying the book of Genesis with your introduction to Hebrew, makes an indelible impression on me about your language as ancient and wise at all times! Thank you @hebrew

Shabbat Shalom. Who is God speaking to here ? He is like one of us...

Interesting question. See also, "Let us make man in our own image..." (page one)

Perhaps the divine council???

A cloud, an ocean, and a glacier got together one day to have a chat.

I float in the air
I have cliffs
I reach the uppera atmosphere
I am salty
I am pure
I am white
Me too but I shimmer blue
I am blue in all the world
I consist of H2O
Yeah, me too.
Me three

Let us work together with the cloud distilling the ocean water for the plants, the glacier containing the secrets buried under Me and the ocean supporting all life that lives in me.

One might ask why the H2O uses I, we, us, and me to express itself

We are H2O and I am one.

Amen. God is One there is Nothing else. --- Ein od Milvado .אין עוד מלבדו - There is Nothing other than God.

Men choose the hard life that they are living today.

Totally impressive, many Israelis have much stronger foreign accent than you do! keep it up! You used a lot of literary words which sound a little weird in Hebrew, but it was absolutely wonderful! keep it up!

My goal has been to learn the Tanakh, songs, and traditional blessings all in Hebrew. The culture of the chosen people is important to me.

Thank you for taking the time to be here and add to the discussion.

Thank for sharing @hrebrew.

All my life I have liked to study the Bible and to understand its passages, what I find interesting to study in the Hebrew language, I join the study. Regarding the lesson, when talking about the Shabat it is of great controversy for many religions, that is why it is very important to have the original writing to clarify its meaning, thanks for your teachings ... Greetings from Venezuela

There should be no controversy when Shaul clearly said that to some a day is holy and set apart, to another it is not. He called for unity regardless of beliefs. To me, Shabbat is a gift from above and without it some of us would work seventeen hours per day every day. The body needs rest.

Great lesson of Hebrew language. I waiting for your next post. Thank you for sharing

Wow, I'm a native Hebrew speaker and I was amazed by how great your Hebrew is! I could spot extremely minor mistakes every now and then (e.g. when you pronounced "Greek" as "Yavanit" and not "Yevanit") but as I said, those mistakes are extremely minor. Great job there

Sometimes I realized my mistake and start over. Sometimes I let a small one go because of how many times I had gone through the passage only to delete the video. Vowel sounds are hard for learners of English as well.

Congratulations @hebrew Sir..
hebrew is a oldest and beautiful langauage and when its comes from an expert like you its very interesting to learn and easy to understand...The sound rule of Hebrew is quite different but once we learn we can pronounce others language words more fluently due to practice of Hebrew Prounciation...Its not easy to learn but not even hard if I have some one like you to teach...It was very helpful for learning and am still trying to learn it....Keep on posting and teaching us @hebrew...

Glad to see you again. You teach very wonderfully.I really like your teaching. This is my favourite language.I m interesting in this language.I always learn from your dtube video. Thanks for sharing.
