Hi dear community of food and healthy desserts, I am very happy to participate in this contest and to show you how to prepare this delicious and healthy recipe: Chocolate and Banana Truffles. I decided to share my recipe in this second week of the challenge organized by @healthsquared and @sweetsssj


This rich recipe is perfect for the snack, for the lunch boxes, very economical, suitable for coeliacs, diabetics, allergies and special diets. It is very easy to make, with accessible ingredients and most importantly, very healthy.

Benefits and properties of coconut

Coconut is an exotic fruit whose benefits and properties make it a healthy food.

Excellent nutritional contribution. Enrich the diet with a very interesting series of nutritious substances, being a fruit very rich in iron and potassium, and ultimately in those minerals that participate in the own bone mineralization, such as calcium, phosphorus or magnesium. Their fiber content, is also interesting which gives coconut certainly laxative properties, helping in turn to reduce and lower high cholesterol and control blood sugar, being equally ideal for diabetics. In regards to different vitamins which has this fruit, says vitamin E, as we know, important antioxidant action.

1 firm yellow banana.

50 grams of cocoa powder.

Sweetener to taste.

2 tablespoons of oil (use coconut).

100 grams of dehydrated coconut.

Orange zest.

1- Remove the skin from the banana and cut into slices.



2- Cook the banana in water, once soft form a puree.



3- Add the oil and the sweetener.



4- Mix.



5- Add the orange zest.



6- Add the cocoa powder.



7- Knead until integrated and it takes off from the hands.



8- Form balls and cover with coconut or cocoa powder.



Healthy, economical and perfect.

Looks very healthy and vegan I like it. I wouldn't need the extra sweetener, would probably be sweet enough for me without it
