Fish Oil

Fish oil can sound gross to take, but the truth is that it has many wonderful benefits. It is a good source of Omega 3's. Many meats have Omega 6's which are are good for the body. The body uses the omega 6's to help with our body sensors so as to find out where pain or other issues lie. As society eats more meat than fish this could be one reason why many people have pain issues. Having a balance of omega 3's in the body is important. The body uses omega 3's to help heal and restore it back to its normal functions.bucket_developing_enviroment_web.jpg

The omega 3's can be broken down into several parts. Most people focus upon the EPA and DHA.

The EPA helps a lot with body restoration. I have seen many customers come in and use it for their joint pain, arthritis and overall body pain. A good number of customers find much relief from the EPA's of the omega 3's. It is also helpful for neurodegenerative issues such as MS and Parkinson’s.

The DHA helps a lot with the mind function. I find mothers coming in to get fish oil with higher levels of DHA, as it has helps with the developing brain tissue in the fetus. Also there are a quite a few parents who give it to their children as a method for helping kids with ADHD. Not only do I see people give it to their kids, but I do also see a growing number of people giving it to their parents, to help with dementia and Alzheimer's. The DHA helps with attention and focus.

Fish oil is not the only source of omega 3's that is out there. You also can get omega 3's from flax oil, walnuts, chia seeds and many other sources, even algae. These are good ways for vegetarians and vegans to be able to get the omega 3's they need.

I really like the Nordic Naturals line of products. What I really like about this company over some of the others is that they put the fish oil back into the triglycerides form. When fish oil is removed from the fish, it is broken out of its natural form and converted into an alcohol state. This has to make your body work harder to be able convert it into something the body can absorb. This company takes the extra step by putting it back into the triglyceride form, which allows the body to take it in more easily.

The Algae Omega by the same company is a really great option for one who is vegetarian or vegan to still be able to get the Omega 3's.
