Can You See? Can You Really?

in #health8 years ago (edited)

This is the next installment in my November series, 2016.

This my continuing attempt at a Podcast Club.
Not very many people seem to have time to read a book these days.
So, maybe a podcast is more our new speed.

Please, feel free to comment. That is the point here.
I listen to this podcast by myself anyway. I want to hear what you think about it.
Let me know what you think.

This video series is phenomenal.
This has been critical in my process over the last few years.
Our health system has been undermined,
We have been misled for decades about what is health knowledge worth having.
As a result, we can be led to believe almost anything
that even the most incompetent healthcare professionals tell us.

In this episode, Dave Aspery joins Helen Irlen to talk about,
how light may benefit or disrupt our ability to function effectively.
This is part of discovering any and all means possible to improve our function,
and decrease stress and pain in everyday life.

Dave and Helen discuss the deleterious effects of poor lighting,
the differing effects of lighting on various people, sensitivity,
the best lighting for human performance,
and the benefits of Irlen lenses and who might best use them.

This podcast is a bulletproof.com production.
This source is second to none.
It has been indispensable to me.
If you benefit, please support them.

Hey Dave, what do you mean by podcast club? I post mine here on Steemit as well, redirecting the URL with every new episode - www.AREA51.fm. Is there something I should be in cahoots with you on?
Best, Guy

i'm attempting to stir up some ideas and get people to provide some insightful comments. tell me i'm right, tell me i'm wrong , or maybe that i'm onto something and some pointers on where to go next.

at my last job i got to play DJ for 8 hours every day. i like the learning and like to drag along anyone who is inclined to let me. learning by myself is okay, but if i have others along we can bounce ideas around and see if something sticks and what it sticks to. multiple people can sometimes learn more than one learner, alone.

i'm not much of a joiner, so i thought i would start my own thing. people seem to like some of the posts, but not too much response so far. i do this anyway. i thought i'd keep going and see what happens. maybe i'll learn something.

Good talk! Interesting, Im wondering now if I should also look for one of this glasses. I use f.lux (do you know it?) in my computer for work and my lights are all incandescent at home... Im doing that correct at least :) Btw, it is you in the video? I start to follow the channel, very interesting podcasts there.

i use f.lux. no, that is not me in the video. definitely interesting.

Love the idea of a podcast club. I was thinking of starting a book club where people can add analysis and comments about the book in question. Nice work!

thank you. if you have any thoughts on subject matter, format, anything else, let me know. this is my 8th installment. i did a few for halloween. i'm doing a little bit of everything i can think of, to see what people want. the subject of health seems to be the most popular so far. i have an enormous amount of material. they get a decent number of votes, but not many comments and almost no reward. i'm going to have to stop steeming and get some honest work soon. there is only so much time in the day.

Wow, you've been steeming full time? I wish I could do that. I still have to teach to make ends meet but my goal is to get paid for writing full time.

i've been steeming between bouts of looking for work. i can't say i've made anything out of it, maybe a hamburger a week. when i do get a job, i won't have time for steemit. when i'm employed, i don't do social websites, i spend all of my extra time learning. i made the mistake of thinking that steemit might allow me to do both.

Yes, it's difficult. However, I think steemit is definitely a step in the right direction.

i thought so. it is cool for meeting like minded people. i do have to eat, though. i look at the valueless twats, who appear over and over, on the trending page, and i realize that if you're not friends with the power voters, that nothing you ever do will be seen as worth reward enough to keep around. i can't hang out here and be poor just to have friends. i hate to have to go, but i'm hungry and i can't pay my rent.

i have tried to impart some small amount of the knowledge and the sources, that i have gathered, to the followers i have here. i hope that, at least, is of some value. https://steemit.com/steemit/@lifeworship/this-is-for-my-followers

i'll probably be back, but i've other things to do.
