Wahoo his hand is open!

The stroke victim from the last two weeks that I had reported on working with came in again yesterday. I thought I would update the record here just to let you know how it is working out, but I will not continue to bore you with the updates hereafter.

Well his disposition was great, even feisty (and a little decadent... good sign), but he was complaining about a bit of pain in his left leg and arm. It had stayed away this time almost the full week, last time it was only 2 or 3 days. So again the treatment was administered to release the pain, muscle constriction and increase the mobility. Also that nervous situation that he developed of wiping the right corner of his mouth had dissipated even more and the sensation of drooling (caused by nervous vibrations on the corner of his mouth). In fact in the full hour it was down to only 3 incidents, whereas the first was every 30 seconds... and further down from the second treatment where the wiping was every 10 minutes.

This Session

was aimed mostly at releasing the arm and hand from it's constriction even further... it still had retained the greater mobility from the first and second sessions, so really resetting the nerves was a priority. After the full treatment, his hand was able to stay open as it rested on a pillow. This was a great success for him with both he and his wife as well as an attending Doctor were elated.

There are always options like orthotics, like the one pictured above... but he was not interested in them.

The goal for the New Year is even more hand mobility... and then on to getting him out of the chair..
