Stroke of luck continues
Another opportunity to work with the stroke victim from last week availed itself again. So as promised here is yesterdays results as he goes into the Holiday Weekend.
Before working with him we had a debriefing of how he felt from his first session and how long did the benefits last (see article link above). He came in cheerful... what a departure from his "Normal" pattern of behavior, but inspiring to experience. Now the disposition change was enabled with a glimpse of regained mobility, pain relief and hope of increased future restoration.
The chronic pain in his neck and left arm had disappeared for what he said "2 or 3 days", but began slowly coming back... however not to the same intensity, just a minor irritation now. So the treatment was re-administered to further release the pain, muscle constriction and increase the mobility. I also noticed that a nervous situation that he developed of wiping the right corner of his mouth had dissipated quite a bit and when he did wipe the fictitious drool (cause by nervous vibrations of this are of his face), it was now a general wipe of the entire mouth and for a one wipe process instead of a prolonged one side wipe.
Next Treatment
This session I wanted to release the arm and hand from it's constriction even further... it still had retained the greater mobility from the first session, so really resetting the nerves was a priority. Being confined to a wheel chair is hard enough, but the loss of an arm as well makes it even tougher for self mobility.
This time in order to release the arm, the treatment started by resetting the nerves of the abdominal section (remember sitting all day wreaks havoc on the body). Once the abdomen was reset, it was onto the spinal nerves, neck, opposite arm and finally the inflicted arm and hand.
Now I have been working with the nerves for over 30 years causing and restoring from trauma, but nothing is as satisfying as seeing someone with a situation (in this case paralyzation) gain restoration of physical function. At the end of the session,he was able to feebly lift the arm a bit... a small reclamation of movement, but HUGE to him. The hand still was not restored, but with additional sessions to release the arm and reset the nerves hopefully his hand can regain mobility and use.
Without doubt this has made my Holiday Season Jolly, I know he was happy with the results... hopefully for the New Year we can gain some hand mobility... and increased hope for him.

I've actually worked with stroke patients as well, using acupuncture (if you believe its benefits). So, I know that it's an uphill battle in terms of recovery.
Yes I believe in acupuncture... so what do you address for various issues?

Mainly protocols involving helping motor function, pain management and the restoration of feeling in the parts affected. It's not a cure all. We work hand in hand with specialists from different fields, neurologists included.
Thanks for the input sir... now I know without seeing, talking, understanding this individual case... to unlock the left arm, where would you apply?
I don't want to get too technical, but I would apply it on points at the lateral end of the transverse cubital crease (LI11) and about 1.5 inches on the transverse crease of dorsum of wrist in a depression on the ulnar side of the extensor digitorum communis tendon (TE5). Increasing electrical stimulation would be applied, stopping only when the patient feels a tingling sensation. That would be for about 30 minutes, isolated on the left arm.
