I used to know a song while growing up. The lyrics read
When you wake up in the morning,
Get up with a smile
It's the only way you can brighten someone's day,
Say good morning with a kind smile and you too will have a beautiful smile in return....

That song is so true. We spend a lot of money in an attempt to boost our health. With good food, supplements, fitness routine, vacation, visit to the doctor, and lot more. It all add up. Do you know that there are many ways you can personally save money and boost your health? Yes there are a few things you can do that are absolutely free. One of the easiest and cheapest is "smile" ☺

Smiles do a lot more than simply let the world know you’re happy. The truth remains that it doesn't have to be genuine to have some effect, but real smiles do you the most good. Even if you have to fake a smile, try to make it as real as possible. Think of happy memories or visualize your favorite people and places. It makes a difference in what others see and in how you feel.

Why should you smile when there's no reason to you ask? Smiling comes with a whole lot of amazing benefits for your overall health. Some of such benefits are:

  1. It reduces stress and brightens your mood. Stress is a common problem in the modern world that causes series of health problems. When you laugh, your body releases endorphins. Stress relief may be as simple as smiling a little more throughout the day. Smiling releases endorphins. These are brain chemicals known as neurotransmitters, which make us feel happy, counteract and diminish the stress hormones. Aside relieving stress, endorphins lift your mood and act as natural pain killers.

2.Boosts Immune System. Smiles help the body relax and this lets the immune system react more quickly and effectively against invaders. Smile act as an antidepressant. This may be beneficial for people struggling with anxiety and depression. When you're feeling blue, put a smile on your face, even if it isn’t entirely genuine at first. It will turn your entire day around like magic.

  1. Smiling is one beauty hack that has been known to work at all times. Even without applying makeup as a lady, smiling often adds beauty to our faces, making us look healthy and attracttive. Men are more likely to approach a woman who smiles than one who simply makes eye contact only. Now you know why I smile more often.

  2. Longevity. Smile naturally lifts the face. The effects of a good smile extend past just the exterior good looks. People who smile more often look younger and live longer too, around 7 years longer than most according to research. It releases stress, helps the heart, and much more to keep you healthy longer.

  1. Better Relationships. Smile is Contagious. It draws people to us and make us easy to approach. When we smile, most times, it is reciprocated. This spreads the health benefits to those around you and it comes back to you several times as well. People want to be around those who emit positive energy. Smiling is one sure way to achieve this. A smile can appear confident, self-assured, and show that you are on top of your work. Studies show that those who smile are more likely to earn more money through tips and raises. They are more readily approached with business ideas and offered advancements.

  2. Encourages Trust. Trust us the soul of any business. Studies show that we are more trustful of others when they smile and smile genuinely. Trust is an important part of social health when dealing with people, whether they be loved ones or simple acquaintances. Seems relationships are truly built on smiles.

  3. Lowers Heart Rate. Smiling slows the heart and relaxes the body. This lets the heart work without overworking. People who smile and laugh often are less likely to develop heart disease. Smiling also temporarily reduces blood pressure.

  4. Confidence and productivity boost. Smiling often, helps to boost our confidence and increase our productivity. Smiling has been shown to increase your productivity while preforming tasks. This also explains why silly internet memes and pictures of cute animals can actually get people motivated and working harder after a few moments of smiling or laughter.

  5. Increases Focus. Stress limits our perceptions and narrows our attention. Our bodies kick into fight or flight mode where we can focus only on one of those things. Smiling counteracts this and widens our attention again, opening us back up to multitasking and insights that come from the fringes of our perception and our subconscious.

Don't let the condition of your teeth put you off from smiling. Remember no one smiles like you do and you don't have to feel like it before you smile. You don't need to own the world to be truly happy and genuinely smile. Spend time around people who are likely to cheer you up.
