Cabbage.The next vegetable that can help to lose your weight is Cabbage; the vegetable with plenty of “leaves”. Like others, it contains high fiber, Vitamin C, antioxidant and low in carbohydrate. One of the important elements of cabbages is that it is known as a negative calorie vegetable. Negative calorie means that you need more calories to digest it than what it provides you. Let me give you a simple equation. Calorie provided by cabbages = 5. Calorie needed to digest the cabbages = 10. The total calorie in your body is now minus by 5. Almost all salad contain cabbages and you must be thinking you are doing good eating them, unfortunately, the mayonnaise in it makes you not likely to lose any weight.

In the weight loss “arena”, cabbages are famous for its Cabbage Soup Diet. Many claim that it works but there are also groups which insist that it may not be an ideal weight loss diet program. Why? Reason being that it requires an individual to consume only cabbages as the main course and only fruits and vegetables as its side dish. There are some who feels tired and restless during this weight loss diet program. Some experts also states that you may gain your weight back fast after the diet program and the weight you lost is actually not fat but water instead.

Can never get too much cabbage ;) No but on a serious note, have never though about the fact that there are "negative calorie" vegetables although it makes perfect sense when you explain it!

@williamwest Yes, I totally agree you can't get too much cabbage, however negative calorie foods do not exist.
