Colorectal carcinoma facts-

What are the risk factors of developing Colon carcinoma?
- Excess intake of dietary calories.
- Decreased intake of vegetable fibres
- Excess intake of red meat, refined carbohydrate, smoked meat.
- Smoking and drinking alcohol
Excess intake of refined diet and less vegetable fibre in diet results in less stool bulk formation. This stool remains in gut lumen for longer time. Colonic bacteria degrade it and release toxic chemicals. These toxic chemicals along with high cholesterol of read meat acts as potential carcinogen. In addition to this the refined food has less amount of vitamin A,C & E which are antioxidants that help in detoxifying the toxic oxidative chemicals. These factors result in genetic alteration and thus normal colonic mucosa changes to adenoma and eventually adenocarcinoma.
How to prevent It?

Yes, i have mentioned in the post. thanks for the comment
Nice bro
thank you very much
Diet and lack of exercise are major contributors that can easily be changed. Good post.
thanks, yes diet and exercise are the main things here.
