I am back with a new science pic!
You may not be familiar with photograph i am going to show you, But i am sure you have Heard about the condition where you will see this type Microscopy!
Appendicitis is the commonest cause of Acute abdominal pain requiring Surgery worldwide. It mostly affects Children and adolescent between 10 to 30 yr of age.But also affects adults and elderly.
Here we go!!

Do you recognize this??what part of our body is it??
This is not an photograph of normal body part.
This microscopic photograph is of a Condition known as Acute Appendicitis, where our vermiform appendix is inflammed. We can see signs of inflammation in the pic. there is neutrophilic infiltration, edema and vascular congestion with sloughing of the mucosal lining.

How Do I know if I have Appendicitis??...The Symptoms!!
- You will feel abdominal pain, initially at umbilicus which after 4-5 hours shifts to right lower abdomen(Right Iliac Fossa) which is very severe.
- you will have Mild fever
- Decrease appetite and sometimes nausea and vomiting
What do I do If I develop these symptoms??
If you develop these symptom, Immediately refer to a Doctor, it is an surgical Emergency.
Whats the treatment?
Most of the time surgery is required, sometimes can be managed medically with IV fluids, Antibiotics and analgesics. In untreated cases, it may resolve spontaneously or may progress to serious complication.
