Depression Sucks, But Help Is Available: This Is The Most Holistic Remedy We Have Found

in #health8 years ago

The human brain is a sensitive biological supercomputer.

It unceasingly responds to stimuli in the internal and external environment, constantly releasing electricity and chemicals to keep the human organism at homeostasis.

There are a complex series of genetic, social, and biological factors that affect the brain’s reactions; sometimes, these reactions are dysfunctional.

Depression is one such dysfunction.

Worldwide, an estimated 350 million people suffer from depression, and that is just reported cases! We imagine the number of people suffering from depression that do not seek help is actually much higher.

Depression symptoms:

  • Persistent sad, anxious, or “empty” mood
  • Feelings of hopelessness
  • Pessimism
  • Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities
  • Decreased energy
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions
  • Difficulty sleeping, or oversleeping
  • Appetite and/or weight changes
  • Thoughts of death or suicide, suicide attempts
  • Restlessness, irritability
  • Persistent physical symptoms

Depression affects each person differently, and there are different types of depression (including clinical, seasonal, postpartum, psychotic depression and bipolar disorder).

At worst, depression can lead to suicide.

Even Quinn has been seriously depressed at certain points in his life:

“The first half of my life sucked. I was weak, sick, angry, and afraid. By the time I was 17 years old, I was so miserable that my one consistent wish was to no longer be alive--for the suffering of life to end and be over. I was hopelessly in despair at the thought of living in this world for another 80 years.”

Lucky for us, Quinn over came his depression and dedicated his life to building a healthier and more sustainable world for ALL, and we want to share good news with you:

There are treatment options for depression. COLLOIDAL GOLD is one such option, and it is the most effective holistic treatment we have found.

Gold is a superconductor, and as such it improves the transmission of electrical signals. Cells communicate via electricity. Knowing this, conclude that nanoparticles improve communication between nerve cells of the nervous system, and a more effective flow of electricity can alleviate stress and anxiety.

Gold has a high vibrational frequency, thus it is able to increase the vibration of the organism that consumes it.

Scientific research is still emerging regarding the incredible healing properties of gold nanoparticles and the mechanisms by which it functions, but gold has been proven safe and effective throughout history. Its use as a "nervine" or therapy for nervous disorders was recorded by ancient Chinese and Indian alchemists [1]. Because it is an inert noble metal, gold is still a preferred material for modern dental work. (Some people fear the buildup of metals in the system. If this concerns you, we also offer nascent iodine, which is a premier supplement for detoxing the body!)

A testimonial from Cheryl D.:"I had anxiety so bad that it made everyday tasks unbearable. I didn't want to socialize, I didn't want to go to any events, I didn't even want to leave the house! After supplementing with colloidal gold every day for 3 weeks, I'm finding my anxiety lifted significantly! I'm looking forward to attending my daughter's wedding this weekend!"

A testimonial from Patty A.:"I suffered through depression for most of my late 20s and early 30s. Taking colloidal gold stabilizes my moods, and I find that I don't "drop" as deeply or frequently when I am supplementing--it's like the normal lows of life are no problem at all. I actually appreciate them now! I am more active and alert and I care about my life again!!! THANK YOU GARDEN OF EDEN!!!!"

We offer 0.5 oz bottles of 50 ppm colloidal gold with 18 nm sized gold nanoparticles for a $66 donation to our cause. We now graciously accept Steem dollars in trade! We’re committed to helping as many people as possible, so we will steadily release our experience, research, and testimonials on the effectiveness and safety of colloidal gold here on Steemit.

Please tell me how this is science? "Gold has a high vibrational frequency, thus it is able to increase the vibration of the organism that consumes it. "

This is not a response. This is not scientifically based. This is made up. You present your made up solution in a scientific context, the very definition of pseudoscience.

This is a scam, to line your pockets, pure and simple.

The faux nice and oh-so-politically correct facade does not work here.

Nobody at the Garden of Eden cares about money. Our motivation is honor and TRUTH. We live on $1 a day each. We offer options for health to those who seek genuine healing, and everything we earn through trade and donations from that and all our ventures goes towards feeding more people. We are extremely successful at it, as we feed 40,000 free meals a year and have hundreds of testimonials of improved health and wellness with zero cases of negative side effects. We will continue to share the successful options we have found that bring relief to people--if you have a better option for health, again let's hear it so everyone's life can be improved!

A challenge to your belief system does not equal a scam. You have no basis for such claims. You are welcome to believe whatever you choose, including what Big Pharma--with their proven lies and made up studies and billions of dollars of influence and bribery and dishonor--tells you. That "science" is not real; it is biased to the hilt. We choose to believe what we have experienced first hand. We won't spend any time trying to convince you otherwise.

We know that not everyone is going to agree, we’re not trying to convince anyone, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

The truth is we’ve had real success with this, and there are hundreds of testimonials.

Despite anyone’s opinion, that is REAL.

The worst attack you can do to somebody on steemit is to flag them.
We don’t deserve that kind of treatment for a post
that is only intended to help people,
whether people agree with them or not.

We’re involved in a lot more than just this: we’re the most sustainable organization in the state, we saved 350K lbs of trash from the landfill last year, and we fed 40k free meals to homeless, firemen, and single mothers last year too.

We serve our community--that is the TRUTH of who we are.
We would really appreciate, rather than being attacked, to have some compassion and consideration for the bigger picture.

This is pseudo science nonsense. It's harmful to people. It's taking advantage of people who are suffering and offers them an expensive bottle of water.
Words cannot express my disgust to see it with health and science tags.

Thanks, we appreciate your input and respect your opinion, and we're not trying to convince anyone of anything. If you are happy and healthy, we hope you will write an article about how happy and healthy you are to share with the world. If you've achieved a level of health of happiness that is greater than us, please share!

Pharmaceutical experiments are funded by the pharmaceutical companies to yield results the pharmaceutical companies want to see, and then doctors are bribed to prescribe them. That is not real science.

Please provide any real evidence that this colloidal gold is harmful to people, and please show what evidence you have to negate the hundreds, if not thousands, of unsolicited testimonials.

If this is indeed pseudoscience, then it is healthy pseudoscience. You can't say the same for the many sickly victims of pharmaceuticals or prescription drugs.

This is proven less side effects given to any child in any hospital.

You're hating on us for "making erroneous claims", and passing judgment without providing any substantiating evidence that this colloidal gold causes harm. If you consider us "disgusting", then there is no word to describe you.

The pharmaceutical industry is deeply flawed but it is infinitely more useful to people than making things up.

Having a larger market than alternative treatments is not the same as being more useful to people. Western medicine kills almost 800,000 people a year. https://steemit.com/health/@gardenofeden/western-medicine-is-the-leading-cause-of-death-in-america

You still have not provided any evidence beyond biased opinion that shows this is harmful, yet we continue to witness and accrue real life, first hand testimonials. Provide a better option if you have one.

I don't have to provide evidence, you are a BUSINESS making the wild claims that it does things that it simply CANNOT, in order to profit off it. The universe doesn't work this way, no matter how hard you believe it does.

We are not a business. We are a private organization operating in a private capacity.

Thank you for bringing the resistance to our awareness, as the economy of our own creation is obviously still too far out there for most to relate to. We'll explain it to the best of our abilities.

@steemcleaners @anyx
Despite that is is pseudoscience quackery, it is an advertizing content

I haven't had the chance to use colloidal gold yet, but I know for a fact that colloidal silver works - I've had infected cuts immediately turn around within a day and even lacerations that I immediately had to expose to questionable surroundings... And they healed quickly and without infection! It's also not very well known in mainstream society - but even the Romans used silver in their canteens and in their storehouses in order to keep food from infestation.

This isn't "psuedoscience" - this is historical - this is experiential fact. :-)

You confuse silver antiseptic properties (used in some antiseptics for example) with quackery colloidal, snake oil type "alternative" medicine.
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Colloidal_silver

Your discrediting tactic does not stand up to the evidence we have collected. Colloidal silver is nanoparticles of silver suspended in distilled water, and the antiseptic properties of silver are preserved in the "colloidification" process. Silver is not "neutralized" or converted to some another substance; it is simply broken down into nanoparticles in this case. (Note that the silver ion is actually the active agent, which is steadily released from the silver nanoparticles.)

Colloidal silver has been used effectively throughout history, science, and experiential use. Again, there's nothing to be done for someone caught in cognitive dissonance. If you want to cling to your worldview in light of evidence to the contrary including first hand testimonials, that's your prerogative! Your mind is set and you're welcome to those opinions, but it is improper to allege "abuse" because someone has challenged your beliefs.

Please provide coherent, peer reviewed studies from credible scientific journals. Meta analysis woukd be the best

We have extensive scientific and historical research as well as first-hand experiences to validate our claims. This is yet another testimonial to the effectiveness of the healing options we offer.

Please provide coherent, peer reviewed studies from credible scientific journals. Meta analysis woukd be the best.
As far as as I am concerned there have been studies clearly proving that colloidal gold or silver in the form of natural "alternative," remedies (which you offer) has no effect beyond placebo effect. Moreover it has been proven to be easily overdosed that it becomes toxic.
Your claim that it can treat depression is a ridiculous and dangerous pseudoscience.

There are lab applications in controlled and tested environment, where it is used with certain drugs. That is no what you offer here. You offer quackery snake oil type nonsense.

It seems your mind is already set and that you are not interested in considering challenges to your opinion, given that you are quick to call this "abuse" and exercise what power you can for censorship, plus you are clinging to the "quackery" label (perhaps because it is clearly not endorsed by Big Pharma?). Nonetheless, here is some research.

Thank you @logic, you have inspired me to compile a comprehensive bibliography for colloidal silver/gold and nascent iodine--a supplement supplemental, if you will--as no such reference exists for colloidals! These posts are intended to summarize material in a small and digestible way over time--it will be highly beneficial to gather all citations, histories, testimonies, and scientific papers into one unique source as well.

you know better than to appeal to authority. i've seen your posts. that is not even a lesser known logical fallacy. commercial and medical claims require the satisfaction of authority, not private testimonials. also, quackwatch is hardly a reliable source. it is apparent they don't own a mirror. in fact, if i find they are against it, then i know there is a high probability of it having enough merit to suggest investigation. i've never seen claims for colloidal gold substantiated. colliodal silver i have done my own experiments with, over a period of years and i will say, without making claims, that i personally, would trust my life to it before any doctor that i've ever met. you must understand how it is made, if you are to avoid toxicity or argyria. i didn't find anything in this post about rendering snakes. you must have misread. i didn't read anything about the use of mercury either. appeal to personal incredulity does not become someone carrying the moniker of logic. one of the great things about the scientific method is that it can be used by anyone with an understanding of it, and not just authority. priests talk to god. scientists converse with the natural world. repeatability and reproducibility are the standard, not approval, unless for sale or regulated medical use in diagnosis or treatment. looking further on in the comments, i see that appeal to authority, ad homonym attacks, and appeal to novelty are as hobbies for you. what experiments have you, personally, done to test the claims you are making? did you perhaps misspell illogic when you picked your name? do not speak to me of onus. the act of calling something quackery or pseudoscience is in itself a claim. for the person, with logic on their side, it is best to state facts and then to remain silent, so the fools can discredit themselves and those in possession of superior data will still be on the side of right. using authoritative sources, without an understanding of the science behind the studies is appeal to authority. this is basic first year logic. ganging up on people and calling them names is not science. science is a method. demonstrate your own data, and let fakers discredit themselves. consensus does not science make. you are discrediting yourself. be wary of this. the blockchain is more or less permanent. you may regret some of these claims. any student of logic can look at this page and discern for themself whether the logic here is sound. it is not. the fear you exhibit in your vehemence, is apparent. what is it, of which you are so afraid?

Advertising is for commercial products and services. As we clearly notice in many places, we operate in a private capacity: "We are not a commercial business. We are an organization operating in a private capacity. We do not sell anything. All goods and services are offered by donation to our cause." (see www.intothegardenofeden.com)
Additionally, @logic is welcome to research the effects of colloidal gold for himself. We are firm in our service to the health and well-being of ALL, and we offer alternatives to the Big Pharma monopoly.

Further, @steemcleaners @anyx are there rules to using Steemit clearly posted for all users to see? Although advertising does not apply to us because we are not a commercial entity, we have not been noticed of regulations and restrictions if there are any. We are excited about this platform because we are able to exchange new views (including many challenges to the current systems of low standards) with sharp minds. We are able to engage in thoughtful, public discourse to shape a better world for everyone in an uncensored arena. We've been actively involved in and supportive of this revolution, and we believe we have been respectful users. Please bring transgressions to our attention so that we may correct them, because we intend the most beneficial experience for all.

Don't lie about donations. You clearly sell those products on your site. You give the prices and order option. Not sure who you want to deceive. Maybe tax tevenue.
Colloidal silver $27 for order on your website:

We do not sell anything. Thanks for the opportunity to clarify who we are, and for the chance to address a cognitive dissonance loop many people are caught in!

The Garden of Eden does not support the global military industrial complex, so we have reinvented an economy based on values that builds a healthier and more sustainable world for all! We've been living this revolution for many years, so it's exciting to have a platform like Steemit to share our remarkably different standards for operation.

See "Isness of Business", "We Do Not Sell Anything", and "All Proceeds Are Dedicated To A New Paradigm" tabs at the top of each shop page for more info. It is true that we have online "order" options, because our shop interface is set up with that familiar format. For many people, financial transactions are the easiest form of trade, so we have that option available online. Others contact us directly to share and trade other skills and resources. http://www.intothegardenofeden.com/store/c26/GOE_High_Vibe_Health_Supplements.html

We've got more info on our "business" model available on our website as well: http://www.intothegardenofeden.com/ethical-merchantry.html

Again, we are not a commercial business. We are an organization operating in a private capacity. We do not sell anything. All goods and services are offered by donation to our cause.

We feed, clothe, house, and educate people. If you support our cause, we are grateful for your contributions. If you don't support our cause, we wish you well!

There is nothing wrong with advertising. There are no restrictions against it.

Personally I see every post as a form of advertising as well as a form of commerce. If time and ideas have value, we're all engaging in commerce and advertising with everything we do.

Hi, can I quote you on this?
Wrote this article on advertising on Steemit and didn't really get enough responses to form any consensus. Are there any such moves in the pipeline? Thanks.

When people's ideas are challenged and they have no frame of reference for understanding new concepts, they often become extremely defensive and begin to argue and attempt to put down people who have a different or more expanded awareness. There is even a term used to describe such disconnection--"cognitive dissonance".

Western medicine has been proclaimed to most of us in the U.S. for decades to be THE answer to health issues. There ARE REAL answers in a holistic life that do not include pharmaceuticals and chemicals (that support a hidden agenda). Often people need to have science validate their experience or knowing so they can feel good about how they conduct their lives, as they base their beliefs only on that external confirmation. Most people who need science for validation are not in tune with the greater awareness of realms outside of science, and have great difficulty accessing and accepting anything that is not "proven". However, "proof" is in the experience. Even if science has yet to prove something, doesn't mean it isn't so. If even one person experiences something not yet proven by science, that in and of itself is already "proof". Which means there is no need to argue whether or not something is valid or "proven by science", as it is already fact.

Many people, including the people at the Garden of Eden, are aware of many things that are outside of the awareness and understanding of mainstream society. I for one am extremely grateful for the awareness that nature provides the simple and healthful answers and that someone who is in touch with the magnitude of this information is excited and capable of sharing it.

If anyone does not believe that Colloidal Gold is a helpful natural resource--they simply don't have to take it or share the information. However, it seems to me that those who do know of its benefits (which have already been proven as fact, even through experience) could do great service to their fellow man by not just sitting silently by watching people suffer, but instead share what they know to be true,

People can only hear what they are ready to hear and can only understand what they are able to understand. There is no problem--just a vast difference in awareness.

Since starting the gold I have noticed that my personal trauma does not make me feel tired and overwhelmed so much. It definitely helps me move through, stuff better. This is way better than pharmaceuticals which have yucky side effects.

No side effects is a definite benefit to those seeking treatment for their conditions. What good is "healthcare" if by "treating" the issue, you're afflicted with a handful of new ailments?!

You're welcome! Hope it helps--even to know that options exist can be a big relief to anyone going through the hell of depression...

Here's an expert commenting on the benefits of colloidal gold:
