BE INFORMED....CYBERSICKNESS OR VIRTUAL REALITY SICKNESS IS REAL
Hi everyone, dhayor is back and I hope you enjoy this piece I have for you all
Have you always experience discomfort, headache, nausea and all sorts when exposed to your computer screen or phone for a long time?
Here is the reason why but first let me explain what CYBERSICKNESS is.

CYBERSICKNESS occurs when you get exposed to a virtual environment, it occurs primarily as a result of conflicts or mismatch between three sensory systems(visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive). It is a normal physiological response to an unusual stimulus because your brain is tricked into believing you are moving when you are actually not, it is similar to motion sickness. This can cause sickness due to the unexpected absence of motion signals to the inner ear that should accompany the motion perceived by the eyes.
CYBERSICKNESS varies from one person to the other, it's symptoms include general discomfort, drowsiness, fatigue, headache, nausea amongst others.
HOW TO STOP CYBERSICKNESS IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING IT
- Stop working on your phone, computer or any virtual objects
- Focus your eyes on a distant object
- Take anything that contains ginger to stop feeling nauseous
- Inhale air through your nostrils and exhale it using your mouth, if you feel like vomiting
HOW TO PREVENT CYBERSICKNESS
- Blink frequently to minimize discomfort caused by staring at the screen
- You can chew gum
- Use virtual reality goggles if available or if you use glasses you can ask the doctor to help change your lenses
- Engage in good hydration practices
- Look away from the screen at Intervals
- Always ensure the the screen is far from your eyes, about 20-28 inches away.

Stay hydrated, very good point to make, also you need to get up and stretch those legs every now and then. Get up go pee, get more water, take a short walk, anything to move a little bit every now and then. Nice post @dhayor

Wow... I didn't know such a thing existed. Awesome tips. As it differs for everyone, upon reaching a certain level, mine pushes me away from anything virtual for quite sometime. Sometimes lasts days. Now, I know the cause and how to prevent it.
