Prostate Care Diet for Today : Tiger Prawn Salad with Mango and Avocado [Post #7]
Hello Steemitsonians, today, I continue on this Prostate Care Diet for Today blog looking at food and diets that can significantly help improve, prostate health. Like I have always said, this is not for men only, it is also for women who want to do more to help their spouses have their prostate situation under control. I have been reading quite a bit on this, particularly the book "Healthy Eating: The Prostate Care Cookbook" and my findings will be posted on this blog.
The prostate is that part of every man that needs proper monitoring to prevent the development of prostate cancer. The lower the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) level in the blood, the better for the health of the prostate. Although there isn't a specific normal or abnormal level of PSA in the blood, but most doctors have in the past considered PSA levels of 4.0 ng/mL and lower as being normal. Proper care is needed to maintain these levels.

Benefits
Prawns are also a great source of selenium. As mentioned in previous post, selenium has been found through research to be very potent against cancer. There is a body of evidence to suggest that not only may a higher selenium intake reduce the risk of prostate cancer, it may also be able to suppress the spread of cancer outside the prostate.
Avocado is also a good source of Vitamin E with beneficial effects on the risk of various disorders such as heart disease and cancer.
Now, what are you waiting for? Add this to your diet to significantly improve your prostate health.
