Diabetes Causes and Precaution : Top 10 Food for Diabetes Part-1
Hello my steemit friends today i am going to discuss about Diabetes , its Causes and how to control it by taking right food . Sugar, sweets, sugary drinks, grains, starchy vegetables, fruits and some dairy, are converted to sugar during the digestion process and therefore contribute to raising your blood sugar levels after eating. A high--carb intake will result in high blood sugar levels . Diabetes is a chronic, incurable disease that occurs when the body doesn’t produce any or enough insulin, leading to an excess of sugar in the blood. Insulin is a hormone, produced by the pancreas, which helps the cells of the body use the glucose (sugar) in food. Cells need this energy in order to function properly.
There are different types of diabetes: prediabetes, type 1, type 2, gestational (pregnancy) diabetes . Diet and living style are the main factor that help in prevention of diabetes. There are many myths surrounding what diet fruits a sugar patient can consume. Studies have found that a low-carbohydrate, high protein diet seemed to help reduce insulin resistance. Low GI (Glycemic index is an indicator, which tells us how quickly a specific amount of particular food will raise blood sugar levels) foods also indirectly reduce blood insulin levels by controlling blood glucose levels.
