Spamming
With the recent influx of new users (minnows) I am starting to get alot of spam on my post. What do I consider spam, when you post a link on my post trying to get me to go look at it. Here are two examples.
I am not trying to single out anyone here, these were just the last two to spam my post. To me this is unacceptable to put in the comments on my post. I have never spammed since I started almost a year ago, and I don't like it done to me.

Writing this post hoping that it can get the upvotes it need to get into the trending , so a many minnows can see it as possible.
Hoping that we can get this resteemed so as many minnows can see it as possible.
To encourage everyone to take the same action as I am going to take by putting the at bottom of your post this message.
Please do not spam my post, by doing so it assures that I will not go look at your post , upvote you, or follow you. I will most likely flag you.
We as the steemit community have to get this under control now, before it gets worse.
Please minnows do not take this the wrong way. Us dolphins did not get where we are now by spamming , there are other ways to get your post seen. I have never been one to flag and I won't flag as long as you don't spam my post.
I would love the hear every ones opinion on this. STEEMIT LETS WORK TOGETHER TO END THIS NOW
bot comments should be addressed as well. follow for follow upvote for upvote, etc getting annoying as well. posting a link to your post is really bad, totally agree. But as new users keep comming in you will probably have to keep reposting this.
I have spent lots of time sending messages back to people either spamming, c+p or plagiarizing someones work. I don't have enough time for me on steemit , let alone trying to warn users of the consequences of their actions if they continue. I might just go to mute for everyone who does those actions. It won't solve the problem however. Maybe the steem develpers could have a post go through a pre-post hopper (before we see it) to catch alot of these problems. Automate it to reject the post if it possesses the problems indicate. It would go back to the poster showing the problems with an automated reject code. To make it work, it would have to be quick. Say, less than an hour. Less if possible. Something needs to be done if we are going to be the quality site we want.

I'm also not a big fan of the comment bots. If you are going to write a bot, at least randomize the comment. ...
As a last resort, there is the mute function. This allows you to mute anyone you wish. But, with all the new folks on here, you might end up spending a lot of time muting.
True. Such bots and 'follow for follow and upvote for upvote' comments are a big turnoff.

As Steemit gets more popular,there will be more and more of this comments,especially on popular users posts.I guess the only way to deal with this is that Steemit adds new option,and that is to block posts from certain users.
I've been getting spammed by direct message in the chat. I ignored the person the first couple of times. Today I called them out on it because it was getting annoying.
Their reply? "If you don't respond, it means you're OK with it." WTF???
Sorry you've been experiencing this here on your blog. It's like people using your real estate without asking. Not sure if there's anything that can be done about it, though.
I don't like judging and flagging people the first time around - we all make mistakes in the beginning and have to learn. I don't want to assume that people have bad intentions. But if they repeatedly do it, then flagging is absolutely justified, I believe.
