Hi, I share my participation in the "Trick or Treat" of the Halloween contest, steemitboard. I bring you this story, which I hope will seem very good and terrifying, or at least interesting.

The curse of the witch

A day like any other in a small town unknown to society, was in those days happening a somewhat peculiar and ailing event for its inhabitants. For several weeks, just started the month of November had disappeared several children of all ages, for that reason the belief that had the villagers about the existence of a witch was becoming stronger.

One of the signs for several years was that if a woman was accompanied by a cat, or the pussycat felt sympathy for her, it meant that she was a witch. One of the families of the town was the first to present a disappearance, but with the difference that this disappearance had occurred months ago, the husband together with his 10-year-old girl and his 16-year-old son, thought that the woman had abandoned to go away.

The family was one of the most peculiar of the people, the father was quite sociable, however his children were more withdrawn into society. One day they went to the main market of the town to buy food and learn about the news. The father went with his daughter, finding out at the time of the curfew, and the preventive measure to avoid further disappearances, anyone who was seen in the streets after 7 would immediately be accused of witchcraft and then burned.

When he was back, the father decided to take water from the central well, and be able to take it home. When he was pulling the bucket to fill his water containers, he turned around and saw his little girl playing with a white cat. When this happened, the father desperately dropped the bucket and ran to the girl, looking away from the cat; I took the charge, I took the food and left quickly, praying that no one would have seen that pussycat playing with her little girl.

The father walked as fast as he could, but the cat was following them, as a measure he grabbed the water and threw it on him, it was when the cat walked away, and the man continued his way home with his daughter. For the bad luck of the little girl, and her father, one of the elders had observed what had happened hidden behind one of the corners of the town, and immediately went to communicate the sight to all the inhabitants. At nightfall, the man was having dinner with his two children, when they suddenly felt noise around the house, the father peeked through one of the windows, and saw all the villagers surrounding the house. The impressed father shouted from within, what happens, why are you all here ?; and one of the villagers shouted, your daughter is a witch, they saw her playing with a cat, and you know what that means.

The father knew perfectly well that this had happened, however he denied it looking to save his little girl, in an attempt the inhabitants of the town offered a deal, surrender to your daughter and save yourself along with your other descendant. The man refused to accept such a deal, refusing again and again, that's when one of the elders shouted, since you do not deliver the witch, you'll burn with her, that being said, all the villagers began to shout in chorus Death to the witch! Death to the witch !, again and again, mentras throwing fire to the house.

Everyone saw from outside as the family burned in the flames of the fire, and listened to their cries of solor, asking for help. Despite the terrifying screams, no one did anything to save them. All were amazed, and were frightened by this event, when they observed well when the fire went out, they saw that left from where the house was built there were a lot of dead animals, strange books, and unknown symbols; Suddenly a malevolent laugh was heard approaching, and among the smoke was a female figure.

When he came close to being well observed, there was in front of them the wife of that man, and mother of those children, the woman who had been his neighbor; all had many ideas of what could be happening, and suddenly the lady dressed in black spoke, saying the following: They have killed my family, they have pointed out my witchcraft daughter, just because I played with a cat, she was the same as you without magic, the only witch was me, and if I was the one who took my children to to be able to maintain my youth and beauty. But even though I took their children, they did not forgive them for killing my family. Now you will perish in the fire, just as they did that they perished.

Halloween

The witch rises in the air, and cast a spell in which she burned in the flames not only the inhabitants but all the land that occupied the town. At the same time he threw a curse, Everyone who enters this town, willingly or by accident, will burn as the innocent and guilty burned here.

Nobody dared to enter the town ever, hundreds of years went by, and a group of young people who heard the legend wanted to explore, looking for that curse were only old words, road stories to scare children. And when placing a foot where the town began, one of the young people burned just as the witch said in the words of his curse.

Over the years, those words of hatred, and pain, kept alive in the field seeking revenge in such a curse.
