The 29th edition of Mizu no Oto – Every Image Has Its Haiku has come to an end.

While I'm writing these lines it's dark night, I've just finished my second job and I have a swollen and sore knee... you'll forgive me if I'll be unusually short.

I want to thank all of you for your enthusiastic participation in composing, reading and discussing haiku. You are a fantastic community, and you are worth up to the last minute of sleep lost on this keyboard!

Unfortunately, due to a recent change of workplace and schedules, I need a little time to adapt, therefore the NEXT EDITION OF MIZU NO OTO WILL BE ON 10th MAY.

La 29ª edición de Mizu no Oto: cada imagen tiene su Haiku ha llegado a su fin.

Mientras escribo estas líneas, es de noche oscura, acabo de terminar mi segundo trabajo y tengo una rodilla hinchada y adolorida... me perdonarás si seré inusualmente corto.

Quiero agradecerles a todos por su participación entusiasta en la composición, lectura y discusión del haiku. ¡Eres una comunidad fantástica y vales el último minuto de sueño perdido en este teclado!

Desafortunadamente, debido a un cambio reciente en el lugar de trabajo y los horarios, necesito un poco de tiempo para adaptarme, por lo tanto, LA PRÓXIMA EDICIÓN DE MIZU NO OTO ESTARÁ EL 10 DE MAYO.

[ENG] I have to reveal a secret of which I am a little ashamed: this haiku has allowed me to expand my English lexicon by a couple of words.
It is not immediate to read for a non-native speaker. And yet, it is not unnecessarily refined and written in courtly language. It's a perfect haiku.
In a comment on his blog, Owasco told me that she spent hours thinking about which words were most suitable, and the result is clearly seen. Kudos!

[ES] Tengo que revelar un secreto del cual estoy un poco avergonzado: este haiku me ha permitido expandir mi léxico en inglés de un par de palabras.
No es inmediato leer para un hablante no nativo. Y, sin embargo, no está innecesariamente refinado y escrito en un lenguaje cortés. Es un haiku perfecto.

I loved your participation and I quote here the comment that I left in it:
Greetings, dear @oacevedo! I am exploring this unique world of haiku and this one in particular seems to me of an extraordinary beauty. The road to the top of the world is definitely long and the summit itself a lonely place, just like those places that are difficult to reach. I like the vision he had of photography, very contrary to mine; For me that dog is a friend who waits, but for you it is a being that advances or that has already advanced and looks at its steps the way traveled; which makes me have a new perspective. His poem invites reflection and I like the poems that make me reflect.

[ENG] @isauris participated for the first time in the contest, and let herself be carried away with freshness and enthusiasm in the spirit of the haiku.
