[Kisses for the Sky] Haiku and Wednesday Walk w/ tattoodjay

[Kisses for the Sky]

tulips against blue
boxed, lined-up, and puckered ...
kisses for the sky

Everywhere you look these days there is Spring beauty. I've noticed that the tulip season is extending. There are those that have exploded and fallen apart, way past their prime, and those whose puckered petals still promise blooms. I liked the way these looked against the blue window coverings.

Most of the trees have sprouted green leaves but this species is lagging behind. Love the way they reach out and spread their limbs like leviathans of the air. Would have been a great shot for a spooky tree contest run on #steemit a couple weeks ago. Alas I didn't have the shot yet. Hoping for another round. I'm ready.

The beautiful cherry tree below is losing any semblance of the eerie. Although those are some impressive bent and gnarly joints, but it is hard to be scary dressed in pink and Spring green.

A #wednesdaywalk is not complete without looking down. And score. One of our favorite neighbors. This is Gaston, the most loving French bull dog you will ever meet. He just beat a pretty big health scare. We are all happy to have him back to full vigor.

Dog sightings are a sure thing walking through Vancouver but surprise, surprise, someone has acquired a lawn elephant. For some reason it was standing absolutely still.

All photos are my own. A hearty shout-out to @tattoodjay for hosting #wednesdaywalk

Thanks, Jay. See I got it right this time and only on half a cuppa:):):)

Lol 😂 I was just teasing it’s all good

I love everything about this post, @prydefoltz. The haiku is lovely, the tulips against the blue are inspired, the happy story about the French bulldog made me smile, and you somehow also snuck in a yard elephant. It’s... um... a statue, right?

Thanks, Jayna:) It is a either a statue or a champion red light, green light player. 😂 It is pretty lifelike though and suited the yard well. Made me feel like I was in India:)

Such fun! I love people who have a sense of humor about their yard decor.

A lawns of little yellow blobs
It's the play ground for the tulip to peer into blue
Inbetween it's just plain green against a concrete screen.

That's not a haiku format but hey :)
