time to party: Gridcoin net weight rising to daily records in last 2 weeks

Update: 2017 August 21

Besides our 1-million block today, we had another milestone:

with block 1000068 we had 315.52 million net weight and surpassed the max from 4 days ago!

In the last 10 days:

the net weight has often reached a new daily maximum than before
today's max value is like 3x-4x more than what we had usually as netweight some weeks ago

The netweight shows the participating/staking Gridcoin clients:

the higher the net weight the better for Gridcoin (e.g. security wise, ...)

what would be also interesting to know is if the net weight has such highs periodically ?

e.g. I could imagine that for staking PoR, people who don't usually run their wallets, are forced to go online (otherwise they lose those)...

Since we'll be having the 1-million block today (probably in like 3-4h, we're now at block 999850), I assume the net weight will rise again high

some people said they are motivated to stake it (not only because of this)
