And again, for 14 days now: included the +35% magnitude boost
- the boost will be, likely, ongoing until the next mandatory Gridcoin version is released (so probably for 2 weeks to give exchanges,... enough time to prepare)
Why did the mag unit drop?

This is really misleading. The mag unit has been dropping for a long time now. It was at 0.3 for the last time on July 13, and has been dropping steadily to where it is now since then.
The mag unit should rise again once the 35% mag boost is retired at the next mandatory.
